No really op... You can just go to singleplayer.

Most people use gimbals anyways (auto aiming) so they arent necessarily "good"... Just better kitted and lazy.

all i have on my ships is gimballed multicannons because lasers are a waste of space and multicannons barely ever miss, and are the best cost-effective weapon. (flak and dumbfire rockets beat DPS but cost way more in ammo)

i'd use non-gimballed if gimballed wasn't so easy to use.

Awww... I was planning on flying about interdicting CMDR Sidewinders and Abandoning tons of rare goods for them.

One ton per customer, no repeat visits.

You really don't get it do you, they are pulling your leg, there will be very little greifing as most of them you will not see another player. If you are really worried start off in solo mode until you feel comfortable with the setup. You have to remember that there will be some more new content on the 16th and us existing players want to see what it is and play with it. I must also say that I have only seen one other player in the last eleven days so once you get out a bit from the starter systems you will not have to worry too much about other players. Also there is no reputation or any other benefit to killing innocent players.
