It is profit and budget driven and they would rather cash cow in on the DLCs rather than sort out the array of problems associated with the base game. I too have been hanging in waiting for them to get their act together but as I said on other threads no doubt someone like No Limits 2 will troll through these forums and invent the utopian roller coaster game!

What, so people who don't agree with you are complaining, but your unhelpful and combative comment was super helpful and constructive? Please. This forum has become equal parts absenteeism by the devs and users complaining that opinions different to theirs exist. These threads are not about people disagreeing with you - believe me when I tell you the vast majority of the world doesn't give two hoots what you think - these threads are about people who payed money for this game trying so hard to get the attention of the developers who claim they listen and communicate.
You'll keep seeing the same complaint until it gets fixed or people who are complaining finally give up and stop trying to help Frontier make the game they should have made. Seriously get over yourself, this is a game with community driven development and the community is frustrated. If you don't like it, honestly tough luck because that is the way it is.

What went wrong in my opinion is that Frontier got a ton of money early on. Then when RCTW started slipping, even more money fell into Frontiers hands. Once all these games were sold the next step would be to fix the game that good people bought. But thats wishful thinking. Instead they want to sell dlcs (nothing appeals to me) to put even more money in their hands.

You talk about the game as if it was a very bad game that was a complete rip-off. That is a very skewed view of the situation because the game is generally very well recieved. The reviews on steam are currently 89% positive and the game sold more than 1 million copies.
I‘m not saying there aren’t things that could and should be improved but to say it just generally a bad game and a money grab is just false.
As for DLC, frontier (as a business) probably only have two options. Either continue to develop the game and sell DLC to keep some money coming in, or just stop further development and move on to the next game. Personally I am happy they chose the first option and I‘m happy to support the continued development of the game.
Maybe if they concentrated on the base game and corrected it then this would encourage more base game sales anyway.
Generally they knew the design side was above average to what has come on the market so far so what the heck just wack it out their and hope for the best, oh yes and while people are complaining about the simulation aspects not all being there, lets try and work on that on a WIP basis and keep the money coming on DLCs!
