A Guide to Minor Factions and the Background Sim

Wow.
There really was a strange tick yesterday.
Before, our influence was 40%, competitive faction had 39% and we were expecting a war.
After yesterdays tick, those numbers are now 48% and 32% and we have told everyone in our faction not to do any missions for neither of those factions before the war triggers.
Of course, theres always a possibility of some "rogue" cmdr doing things on their own but i srsly doubt it as our faction is quite small in numbers.
Oh well, no war yet then, must go and do some missions for that competitive faction to even the influences.

2.2 Patch day bugs galore cant be ruled out, will take a few days to observe

If FD make the population growth figures any where near realistic, the changes won't be very noticable in most systems unless the timeframes used to measure it were in years.

Agreed. And the other side of the realistic Popualtion growth, in those systems on the edge with 500 people, you would be crashing the economy in days running passenger missions to them.
Just a FD adjustment for realisms sake I would guess.

The only oddity in our experience of the 'patch tick' was that we went into election early (1 day of boom, straight to election)* and that the election missions are showing up in all our systems, save the one the election is in. Otherwise the % were more or less as expected.

*I realise conflict states will kick out other states, however, we have previously always seen at least 3 days of boom before the war/election kicks in.

Because you had it flipped. A boom can't trigger during war, so it happens shortly after. A war needs 3 days to get ready. So you get 3-4 days of boom.
Just mechanics. A confict will always overwrite.

So to collect, the ImpFed had little changes, aside one or two odd % disfigurements (one war enemy close by dropped to 0%??).

But Anotchi's population increased by 150% to 250%. That is 330K to 550K. I doubt it will affect PP much... I will incorporate it into the RP though.

Also the Ode Installation in HIP 11886 was upgraded to military port without the need to. It already had a main port with the Fuchs Horizon Colony. Not complaining.

Sorry, that was straight from my notes :)

Every passenger missions has effect in state and influence for both source and target destination. What you see there is a brief sum of what happens - for example, if you ship protesters, the source faction experiences increased civil containment and decreased civil unrest as they just got rid of a bunch of troublemakers, while the destination faction getting them now experiences violence, increased likelihood of unrest and increased influence (the latter does not make sense, but hey).

Brilliant. Thanks!

are you sure Fuchs Horizon Colony was the main port? had the same thing but our systems controlling station was a small base for some reason and not the larger one so it got upgraded :D

We didn't get around to conquering it yet. So who knows. FD could have just flipped control to the major port though.

Question:

There is a system Z, which is controlled by a faction Z
In neighboring systems A, B and C, found (when I performing missions) presence fraction Z, which develops its influence

Is there any method or algorithm to find a system D, E, F, etc. in which the present and disseminate the impact of the above fraction Z ?

Depends. Who are you searching for and where?

Original phase because a) the devs still havent commented once, indicated changes or anything else b) for a company that likes to constantly add new things, the background sim is the slowest development part of the game compared to everything else that has been layered

c) hope remains for 2.3

d.) the mechanics are well known and teased out by now pendign any additions

Plus, the BGS is actually working and an element that one can play. It is part of the endgame and has hardly any bugs. The wishes for it and wanted additions have been mentioned numerous times over the last 2 years. We had the ascension to power event, which turned out to be rather anticlimactic (plus powerplay isnt really a goal to strive for).

Most of us are happy to just play their game and be in ... i dont know... 10, 20, 30, 50? systems.

I would suggest searching for the faction on eddb.io - the information may not be complete, but you have a good chance to see most of the systems that Faction Z is in.

For example:
The System SHINGON control belongs to Shingon Blue Fortune Corporation
The system ODUDUSERI this faction owns 7% of control. At the station, I can take the mission of this faction

Is there any way to find the in-game on a GALACTIC MAP where possible the system may be a fraction of Shingon Blue Fortune Corporation

Thank you

I was looking at INARA, it contains only the home system. Only the controlled system
The information is not complete
Moreover, this sector is not popular among CMDRs

---
That is, I need all the systems and stations where this faction is present on a MISSION BOARD. To shuttle in the sector and to gain the mission of this faction

Hi All,

I didn't see this mentioned yet, but as an Alliance pilot, this nearly brought me to tears of happiness (we're easily pleased):

1. You probably have noticed if you're supporting a superpower affiliated faction that after 2.2, your large stations now have lights, logos, and accent panels that reflect that super power.

2. Now, that's already pretty cool; but what if it were actually dynamic......? Well, we had a station flip to the Alliance from Independent yesterday, and can confirm that it changes on flip! This is going to make station flips substantially more visible.

Nice find Mangal :D

How much can be the influence difference to get a war or is it have to be precisely same as opponent you want war with ? Is there anykind of threshold value ?
