A most depressing sight

I have absolutely zero interest in multi-crew ships. I can think of nothing worse than having a bunch of knobs all floating about in a single space craft. I know SC will have it but if and when it comes to Elite I won't be part of any multi-crew.
I suspect the SC community will continue doing their utmost to allow even the capital ships to be soloed :p

but it is pretty awesome to be able to walk into your Constellation, walk over to the pilot seat, sit down and take off. Very immersive compared to the "you are the chair" feeling in E:D.

p.S. When I recently upgraded from Asp to Python (via a Clipper which I hated), the 250T+ cargo space quickly convinced me. But I definitely wouldn't want to try real bounty hunting in a starter Python: keep 20MCr reserve for a Vulture for that.

I LAUGH at your woes OP.

For only when you have saved one billion for an Imperial Cutter, you will know the true meaning of the word: disappointment.

Best trading/mining ship and top-tier fighter, now called a disappointment.

Anyone else feel this way?

No. I like my Python. The hardpoint placement is awesome, as is the internal capacity, power etc. Looks good; great ship. The only reason I don't fly it more right now is a lack of credits to kit it out well.

Python looks a lot better in screenies than the Asp. It's worth every penny just for that.

A good excuse to post this image yet again. If Frontier does any more ship variants, I want THESE! (Especially the one on the left)

GOtta admit, the one on the left looks pretty slick and I wouldn't mind taking it for a few laps around a RES.

As for the complaints about the Python being disappointing, yes, brand new and out of the box it handles like a brick, doesn't have enough power to run a toaster and a lamp at the same time, and can't shoot the paint off the broad side of a cobra. But once you start upgrading parts to A grade it really starts to come around. It'll handle quite well, just start getting used to using FAOFF, power for DAYS, and enough fire power to cut its way through the side of a space station if one were so inclined to do such a thing.

I personally prefer the Python for all things BUT dedicated combat, for that I have an FDL which I LOVE slamming in and out of HzRES, CZ, and any sort of fight I can find with it.

My comment's were more related to concept of how freaking big the galaxy is, how few players I see in-game, how little interaction there is between pilots, and that I can't ride co-pilot in a friends ship (yet...I hope....A vague recollection that this may happen someday)
I always play with a friend in wings.
Either he mine and I escort him with my python, or we chasing pirates together, me in my Python while he pilot a Vulture. Or we do combat zones together, both in Vultures.
We have done a 3 months exploration expedition and have our both names in a serie of black holes.
We joigned a PvE group so we can encounter other peoples, which I do.

Not sure I understand why you feel lonely.
