A Musical Request from the Audio Team...

Make custom triggered sounds?

Maybe just like the music speaker implements custom music, we could have custom triggered sound effects? It's very nice of you to ask the community about this by the way. The planet coaster devs are amazing
 
I would love to hear these sounds in Planet Coaster:

-Dripping water (for a cave or a jungle)
-Distant talking or whispering (in Planko)
-An alarm or beeping noise or siren
-A sound for a waterfall
-Creaking of wood (like a floor or a door)
-Human noises (Heartbeat, breath,..)
-Screaming / Laughing
 
My suggestions:

- Horror sounds like ghosts, chainsaws, howls, witch laughter, monsters, screams, etc.
- Party sounds like Fireworks, applause, screams, cheers, crowd, etc.
- Aquatic sounds like whales, waves, bubbles, rivers, etc.
- Explosions and different gun sounds.
- Animal sounds.
- Machinery sounds.
- Dinosaur and creature sounds.
- Ambient sounds for different ecosystems an nature places like forest, jungle, caves, etc.
- Random Planko frases to simulate conversations.
- Ambiance for places like super market, cinema, restaurant, street, office, park, etc.
- Different types of alarms and sirens.
- Cartoony voices and sounds.
- Appliance sounds like popcorn popper, vacuum, tv, radio, etc.

I would love an elevator "ding" for a Tower of Terror-esque creation I am working on!

I also agree that custom triggered audio clips would be amazing! Even if it comes later on.
 
United States Tornado Siren (only specify because I don't know how universal this siren sound is)

Gas/Diesel engine start up
Gas/Diesel engine Revving
Gas/Diesel engine Idling

Turbine ignition/accelerating

Slow motion bass drop from movies/trailers

I want to use my own sounds like you can use your own music. Add a extra folder where I can put the sounds and I'm happy.
 
So forgive my ignorance but how does triggered music work at this moment? I was playing around yesterday with triggers and I placed the triggered speaker prop but I couldnt really figure out where I select the sounds [mouth shut]

animal sound effects, (lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, hippos, monkeys, snakes.)

I'd really like an option to change the on-ride audio on The Fly after passing a certain section of track.
Also the sound of a western shootout, bottles breaking, dinosaur roars, UFO or alien noises for space coasters.
 
Whilst we could ask for heaps of different sounds, that could never cover, what would really be nice is to allow custom sounds to be added to triggers. ie play wav , play mp3 and we then either use a supplied sound bite or add our own . That would allow any sound to be added ( there are millions of soundbites out there) and satisfy most. As long as there is an potion to save it with a blueprint.
This would be the simplest method for all.

I think it was mentioned a while back that this cannot be done due to how it would affect the game's performance. Somewhere along those lines anyway.
 
I'd like ambient atmospheric sounds which are not really musical but very minimal tones. Like deep bass hums and constant or lengthy ambient tones and notes which add tension when peeps are lining up for dark rides. I remember hearing such sounds as a kid lining up, the atmosphere was electric and one of anticipation. There were some dramatic ambient sounds along with the sounds of the ride and distant screaming and "clunks" and "clangs" of the ride echoing around, the reverb should be raised for such sounds!
 
I'd love to have the MUSIC in general set to triggers. Right now only sound effects can be set to triggers. Please add a trigger checkbox to music!
 
Wow this thread is loaded with awesome. I wish I could add, but everything I can think of has been said already. Possible exceptions, did i miss these:
Swerving tire squeel. Truck honk.
Dripping.
