Ah ok, I just noticed some of your posts in the patch notes thread earlier, they came across as rather agitated. Never mind so!
While some things seem oversights which if deemed silly enough might get changed, others can be adjusted (just like when FCs first appeared) so I expect the CMs have a big clipboard and Dav will change some numbers soon.
 
honestly dont understand all the hate towards odyssey , its a great game lots of fun , the performance isnt great , but its getting there , if you dont like it go somewhere else, stop whining in the forums and ruining all the threads from people who actually enjoy the game and want to play and have fun , go play star citizen then come back and tell me which is worse , bunch of ships with nothing to do .

To the console players : Its sad odyssey couldnt run on last gen consoles , maybe in the future it will run on ps 5 or xbox what ever the latest is , until then either get a PC or enjoy horizons , its still a great game , odyssey is just to demanding for last gen consoles , nothing can be done about it .
 
There was a time when they were quite effusive about the game but eventually weaker minds buckle under the pressure and before you know it all that remains is bitterness.
Don't be that hard on yourself, I don't find you that bitter at all. Not compared to the rest of the gang anyway.
 
And Powerplay straight afterwards, right. Right?
Lets not get nasty now :D Although saying that, FD have come to the end of the known EDO extras so perhaps sometime possibly we might see something this year maybe sort of.

Take for example the bar limits- that can be tweaked and I expect will be given the feedback...FD normally start out quite stingy and then change it.
 
I have to be honest here - whenever I see the words "potential" and "future fixes and improvements" mentioned these days I get a twitchy eye. I don't know where these individuals get their optimism from, and/or based on what precedent other than pure unquestioning faith, and after all these years of observing FDev's MO which is the one consistency in the equation.

I actually remember the FC numbers during the beta, only thanks to that beta and some pretty noisy feedback did they change it. Those betas seem to be out of fashion again, and the last Alpha we had wasn't really one as so many reported and quite severe bugs made it into the live release - not even surprising given the unrealistic timelines they set themselves up for, for known reasons obviously.

That issue with the FC carrier layouts - where you can't choose the Drake one after applying a purchased one - that's a simple UI bug and has been around since early 2021. And despite U11 making significant changes to the carriers it's still not fixed. This is stuff that people paid money for, but who cares, right.

But hey - I don't want to disturb people's world of make-belief, with butterflies, purple rainbows and frogs with little funny hats - so will leave it at that. Kumbaya away folks.

But its like I said- some things can and probably will get changed- bar values for example. Others (like the Drake layout) are stupid oversights and frankly I'm with you regards them. I'm not thrilled at the artistic look of interiors either, but they are here at least.
 
Sorry about that outburst there. It's just the sheer volume of issues that gets to me and how long they are left rotting on the vine, while things like beverages (?) get the touch up instead that I didn't even notice had an issue.

The bar has so many problems though design wise. Why the max units limit. The low prices don't encourage people to use them to make credits. The relatively high weekly cost neither. You can't order a drink either even just from an immersion viewpoint (I don't really care too much about it but others seem to). You can't even open the chat window while sitting at the bar. I mean come on.
Well all I can say is (and I expect many people will say too at the time) that all these issues will be fired at FD on Thursday when they livestream, and that the tweakable ones will see changes with the inevitable point update or server side jiggles.

I don't blame you for being fed up though because FD have kind of spent six years badly on ED, and that they never seem to learn. Stuff like Powerplay, CQC, C+P, Racing paint skin, no decent FAS paints, Powerplay, that racing paiNT, vArIouS ShIps Firing THROUgh ThemselvES, that BLOODY RACING PAINT do frustrate.
 
The low limits does seem like it was just tapped in during testing, and never raised afterwards. If intended, its madness since most people looking to offload materials need at least 10x that, if not more.

The pricing... its the same as their normal commerce market, I believe. Can charge as little as 5% of the "going rate" or as much as 1,000%. I think the point is more to allow squadrons and players to share stuff around rather than be a serious moneymaker. (Frankly NOTHING on a carrier makes sense as a moneymaker, even before this update)
