Cargo racks carry cargo. Equipment like that would be to big to store in there.Well, why can't I take a refinery and put it in a cargo rack? Or a fuel scoop with me? It seems pretty straight forward to me. It'd be much better than having to sit there waiting for it for 15 minutes when I need it right away.
It looks like they can't fit a fuel scoop, cargo rack and refinery all at the same time, although short hops and refueling at a station on the way is possible if you understand route plotting. If I understand you correctly:
- your ship is at station A, eqiupped with cargo racks
- your refinery is also at station A, in storage
- you want to fly to station B. In order to have your refinery with you at station B, you want to stuff it inside a cargo rack as opposed to flying your ship to station B with an empty rack and then wait for the refinery to arrive via module transfer?
How about, you know, just replacing that cargo rack with the refinery in outfitting and flying your ship to station B with the refinery fitted?

Cargo racks can only carry standard cargo cannisters which hold a maximum of 1 tonne inside, equipment such as a refinery module is too large to fit inside one so would have to be broken down into smaller pieces chucked into the cannisters and assembled hopefully in the right order at the other end all of which shouldn't take more than twice as long and cost more than 3 times the price of shipping it.Because I might want to keep my shields outfitted, for instance, or keep my SRV, or anything else I may already have outfitted? Its really common sense, its not rocket science. If I have 38 cargo racks available, I should be able to use them for my own personal purposes, and not just business or monetary purposes. Instead of paying someone else a fee to ship my own stuff to me, and having to wait an insufferable amount of time for it, I can just take it with me. I shouldn't have to equip it if I have plenty of space on the ship as is.
Would be to simply allow me to use my own cargo racks to ship it with me. It doesn't seem like I can, and if I can't, then I don't know why no one at Frontier even thought of it, unless they are just sadists who enjoys seeing people suffer through these 15-30 minute timers...............This is really common sense, but hell, what do I know.
