A Simple Solution to Combat Logging

You cannot claim their bounty, their cargo or the kill itself, nor your well deserved ARX for it. Your time and efforts are wasted, and all that because of cheating, which is unacceptable in a multiplayer environment.
I wasn't aware that when a Commander's ship is destroyed their cargo remains, I thought that was just an NPC thing. As for the bounty, going by what a lot write here, both complaining about being killed, and bragging about killing, a lot of the 'targets' are clean so the bounties would either be zero or minimal at the most. Yes to the Arx loss and the time and effort but the same result would happen if the targeted player high wakes out.

Last things first, you're right. It is cheating by the rules Frontier has set, and it's therefor unacceptable. I totally agree that when you play Open, you play by the rules and don't wuss out when things go south. It's a Richard move, no question about it.

Is losing the cargo and/or bounty that big of a problem? What's the max bounty nowadays?
the problem is cheating.
I am aware it's cheating. I say so explicitly in the post you quoted: "Look I get the unsportsmanship of clogging, I get it's cheating because Frontier says so. But I fail to understand the impact and consequences of clogging which makes this a big problem. "

2 Mils...no matter what they have on their heads according to the Pilot's Federation. It's a pity really.

FYI, nobody cares about the bounty or the cargo.

I never said anything about cargo remaining after destruction.

the only cargo one might care about are merits. but you cannot see how many merits one was carrying, only guess if they had some if they had PP bounty on their heads.

People have complained about clogging for years and looked for some punishment to be administered. The simple reality is there’s no mention of it in the EULA so there’s literally nothing FDev can do about it. They can advise against it, but if someone buys a product they can play it as they choose, as long as they aren’t breaching the EULA. Just accept it and move on.

Oh, there it is. "Carebears"... hmm...

I don't condone nor "support" cheating... but I fail to see how one can tell the difference between a legitimate disconnect and one that isn't.

It's been pointed out multiple times throughout this thread there may be technical difficulties beyond one's control- and yet have to see a statement on how one would be able to differentiate the difference. Furthermore, the "seriousness" of the matter is quite debatable considering we're talking about a video game here... you know, similar to the same dismissive responses given by "gankers" when they ridicule people about blowing up space pixels.

If it's all just "space pixels"... then why is it such a "serious" matter that requires immediate developer attention?
I am surprised the good old 'White Knight' wasn't dragged out, that seems to be the go to derogatory name for anyone who disagrees with someone here (normally uttered as a result of not having a valid point to an counter argument lol)

a carebear like you will never be faced with this problem in solo.explaining it to you again and again will not make you understand it...so I won't

Indeed. Although we do have the old "well, I don't have a better response nor can engage the person on an intellectual level, so let's resort to namecalling and brute force" demonstration here. /yawn

In other words, you don't have the ability to engage with me on an intellectual level. Got it.

Thanks for playing. buzzer sounds

And you probably thought things had changed here, alas no, same old same old 🤷‍♂️
