Ability to Kill Guests

Planet Coaster is coming along smoothly, and is very promising. However, one thing that was amazing in the RCT games has yet to been discussed and implemented in Planet Coaster. You saw the thread title, we want the ability for guests to die. Whether it is from drowning, crashing rides, falling, or whatever may happen to guests, they must be able to die somehow. Included with this feature should be the option to pick up and place your guests, like in RCT. We seem to forget that creating death parks, drowning peeps, and burying them alive was a heck of a lot of fun in RCT. Hopefully the devs will get around to it. What do you guys think? Do you support the merciless annihilation of peeps?

EDIT: Thank you for your replies. I've changed my mind about killing guests. Yes, guests should be able to get injured or die, but the player killing them on purpose is not good. The guests in PC look and act more like real people, so killing them may be more sad then fun. The death of guests should only serve as a mechanic. For example, if your ride crashes and one person dies, it will have a consequence on your park somehow.

I find it unnecessary.

I think it's important to keep in mind that in the original RCT games the guests were just little blobs walking around and no real personality. Very impersonal.

Starting with Frontiers version and now Planet Coaster the guests have real personality and it would be more like a real killing. Killing these guests would have a completly different feel than the little blops from before.

If they do add it it should be devastating to the financial bottom line. Because if we are simulating a park a death often ends in a lawsuit or a settlement. Many time the complete closure of a ride with no return of investment or at best an expencive refurbishment. Not to mention bad press affecting attendance.

No. Two reasons, 1. If a park had more than one fatality in a short timescale thats often enough to get it shut down for good and 2, its just childish.

I know is a 'game' but if you want to play a coaster sim where the devs wasted precious time making crashes possible, even going to the extreme of having the thing explode after impact, may I recommend RCTW?

No Thanks... While I dont have any issues with death parks, I dont think it fits with the design ethos and style, which is part of the reason I decided to pre-oder.

I have always been on the side of having the ability to kill them off, in days gone by it was time consuming waiting for the guests to clear out of a park so I could rip up paths and things. Now things have changed and I am starting to think of my guests as individuals rather than walking wallets. Do I really want to kill off the bald guy that has a boogie when he gets close to the pirate band, or that cute kid with the star shaped glasses and the look of wonder on her face? Short answer, no, and until now I hadn't even thought about it.

Coaster crashes are *going* to have to be possible in PC if the game is going to let you build common rides, such as launched or reverse-incline coasters.

Yes but when the coaster flies off the tracks it will gently land on the ground allowing guests to get out and walk back to the nearest path. Then all the staff employees will walk over to the car and work in unison to lift the car over there heads and carry it back to the station [big grin]

I dont care if there are deaths in the game, but I do hope there are crashes and MAYBE possibly even injuries (like small ones, guests with casts?) but thats not really important. Crashing coasters does seem important because I built a coaster with a wicked twist that would totally break riders necks LOL

Sorry to say, but i hope they will not use time to do that.

If i want to see death and people suffering i watch the news.

Please don't allow killing the guests. I enjoy being able to make impossible roller coasters with no effect on the peeps. I don't want them to get hurt.
