Hello Commanders!

Once ATR have been summoned, they should be first responders until you leave the system, not the instance of local space.

One thing I would like to clarify about the amount of bounty a player gets when they destroy another ship that is clean. From what I understand if my rebuy is 4,000,000 CR and I kill a Sidewinder with a rebuy of 1,000,000 CR my bounty added should be 3,000,000 as thats the difference, right?

Currently when I kill a type-6 I am given a 6m or 7m bounty?! thats more than my rebuy and theirs combined...

Finally why is the bounty amount decided on the victims rebuy, how is an attacker meant to know if a python is fit well or not? the current system seems aimed as simply trying to punish an attacker and reward the victim even if they are poorly fit.

From the C&P outline:

Notoriety and Murder
• Commanders gain a Notoriety rating, a value between zero and ten.
• Notoriety increases by one whenever a Commander commits a murder crime.
• Notoriety decays one unit every 2 hours of time when you’re logged in the game back down to zero.
• For each level of notoriety, murder bounty values are increased by a fraction of the perpetrator's rebuy cost - the higher the notoriety, the bigger the fraction.
• If the victim is a Commander (a player rather than an NPC) then you pay 10% percent per point of notoriety of the difference between your base rebuy cost, factoring in engineering, and the victim’s rebuy cost. If your cost is less than your victim’s, this will be zero. This is to de-incentivise destroying smaller ships than your own. This number, as well as others in the Beyond update, will be revisited and tweaked after launch to make sure the game is as balanced and enjoyable as possible.

• In addition, Commanders that are destroyed have their rebuy cost reduced based on the notoriety level of their murderer - the more notorious the assassin, the bigger the discount on rebuy cost for the victim.
• Notoriety is linked directly to the Commander, regardless of which ship they fly in.
• Any Notoriety means the interstellar factors cannot clear your fines or bounties.
• Around starports, any death that results from collisions will not apply to the notoriety penalties nor will it increase Notoriety. This is to prevent small ships being destroyed by excessive ramming. Ramming and combat logging are two examples of other things that we’re giving specific care and attention to – keep an eye on the forums and on social media for any news relating to these topics.
These changes ensure that Commanders can't completely shed their criminal status by swapping to clean ships. It also addresses the seriousness of the murder crime, especially against other Commanders, as well stopping people from attacking smaller ships unnecessarily.

Hello Commanders!

Once ATR have been summoned, they should be first responders until you leave the system, not the instance of local space.
What does first responder actually mean though? Right now, it appears that this means "after lowwaking they will reappear when you assault someone else". That is really bad implementation of something that came with the claim "Once ATR ships respond to crimes, they will continue to respond until the Commander leaves the system" (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/407608-Crime-and-Punishment-in-Beyond-Chapter-One).
It looks better on paper than what their actual implementation is, because they suffer from amnesia the second you leave the instance.

Please fix this. They are close to useless at making someone leave the system as they are now.

I like the idea of the ATR but I absolutely detest the shield busting lasers as broken magic. They need to be able to take down broken shields so they give them broken lasers compounding it. If sending twice as many ships doesn't compensate for their inability to hurt nasty commanders without cheating to take down their shield then the problem is with the shields.
Double the number of ATR responding ships, get rid of the reverb cascade lasers.

other than the magical sheild gen destroying lasers, anything else these ATR ships do that break the rules? I mean, if you take a hull tank against them, will they have any "I win" buttons against those?

They dont. They seem to break some engineering rules by with higher resistances, with that amout of hull points they come with, and raw dmg from thier lasers its quite high too, but there is way to counter it, and certianly they can be killed, even farmed if one wants to.

ATR as npc's have boasting highest level engineering of all npcs, but thermal bugged hull should do the trick (80%+ thermal resistances bulid - known also as the "funny" hull), since they using thermal as main source of thier dmg. They also are being so far, the toughest npcs in game, kind of level above than those of "ace" from CZ's as one example, but not outright impossible to kill, shieldless frags bulids will work on these... in end its just a Vultures, that spawn as ATR... While these ATR flavoured vultures can be litte tanky, its nothing for specialized frag bulid.

This thread is 6 years old. I suggest if you want to discuss ATR as they are today you are far better off making a new thread.
