This is actually brilliant! New, unique and with lots of potential.
There is a whole new gameplay loop in search & rescue that it would add too, not only by being a QoL but also in terms of more crash sites making them more attractive to SRV's.
Even exploration for that matter... who knows, maybe a Cruise Liner has crashed on the other side of galaxy and scattered escape pods over a large area, hauling their pods over 30k LY is sure to be profitable?
Or a massive Cargo ship crash for that matter, hauling hundreds of tons of valuables you could return to the owners (or selling them for more profit on the black market).
Could even have its own rank in "Search & Rescue - Elite"
