I took my cue from Alien. Simoof told us we couldn't write stories about Topic chocolate bars made from recycled bio-matter, but she did anyway. I salute her for that, and I have to say that some credit for my Drabble has to go to her. In fact I'd go as far to say if anyone has anything to say about my Drabble they should speak to Alien instead.

Today is Wednesday. Tomorrow is Thursday. Thursday is the last day you can enter the competition. We only have 10 entries.

Get to work. If you can't think of a good story just write a bad pun about some sort of recycled confectionery.

We don't want to be short of drabbles on Friday, so let me just slide this in here

The Swashbuckler

I'm that crazy pirate that likes to cruise around
I'm never in one place, I pillage from space to ground
And when I find myself fallin' for some wench
Yeah, I hop right into that ship of mine, I cruise around the world

Yeah I'm a swashbuckler
Yeah, a swashbuckler
I pillage around, around, around, around

Oh yeah, I'm that crazy pirate that likes to cruise around
I'm never in one place, I pillage from space to ground
And when I find myself a-fallin' for some wench
I hop right into that ship of mine and cruise around the world

Recycled Topics

These were new beginnings for the Captain and crew. A new ship and a simple plan to do some honest scrap dealing.
There had been some unexpected results after some experimental modification had weakened the ships plating. But the crew had made the hull sound and gotten themselves out of a dangerous situation.

It would have been a big deal for an inexperienced crew that couldn’t handle the high pressure.

The Captain sipped his coffee.
Scrapping would be easy.
They could enter free-fall and he would scan the planet from the Captain's chair and create way-points for any crashed ships.

---------------------------------
This is either a little bit clever or alot stupid. I will let all of you decide which.

Royals

"The title should explain it all" Psykokow shouted

"Stop shouting" Frank tried to calm him down, but the racer was on another tirade.

Everyone in the room rolled their eyes as Simoof tried to be heard "... please ... please ... do you mind if ... "

Vingtetun burst into the middle of the winners circle only to trip and fall at Simoofs feet, he looked up sheepishly and said "now that I have your attention, I'd like to pronounce the winner of the Hutton Cup"

Alvin was having none of it his shiny coat was glistening "If its not me, I'm taking the Mug"

----------------------------------
A multiple leveled Drabble, I'm sure you'd agree.

Pedalling the same again

Legs pumping madly as he came over the ridge, Frank could see the end was in sight. Sweat ran down his face, stinging his eyes and blurring his vision, causing the inside of the suit faceplate to fog slightly. Winded, he skidded the primitive muscle powered two wheeler to a halt just in front of the Courier's blazing lights.

"Cut!"

“Please tell me that was the last time?” Frank panted.

"The tridee footage looks good, but the stills are blurry, We'll need to redo that last stretch."

Wearily Frank turned the bicycle around and started peddling back for more pictures.

I still have nightmares about pushbikes and the effort it takes to pedal them.

As I look out at the class of March2016 I see a lot of familiar faces, but I also see one or two new faces. Welcome to the competition and good luck in the voting.

Another six entries will give us a nice round number. Let's have some more before 10:00 tonight.

Gross Misuse of machines..

'It's on the fuggin blink again' Psykokow grumbled

'You have chosen Pulled Frog Casserole' the machine spat out a green salty sticky liquid.

'No No NO' psykokow screamed in rage. He picked up a spanner and gave the screen a hefty wack.

Simoof recoiled from the impact 'What was that for?'

'I needed something thick to hit this stupid machine, Someone's been putting things in it that it's not designed for' Psykokow pondered 'Open up the filter lets see'

Simoof opened up the recycler

'whats this Toenails?' Psykokow gagged

'erm well I was trying to recycle toe clips into frogs.'

It's all recycled

OXYGEN DEPLETED IN 5:03
The last of the recycled air boiled into space. Adil was surprised to learn that the water vapour not only condensed, but froze as the glass had splintered away.
He coughed, gobs of blood flying around his helmet, the sucking chest wound sealed by his suit, but untold internal damage was still killing him. He wondered if it would take less than five minutes.
The stranded asp span to face the star, his killer. Too close, too fast. Rookie error.
‘After all’ he thought ‘we’re all recycled stars anyway. Nice symmetry.’
He jammed the throttle forward.

Deja Vu

Spacers know that pretty much everything you use in space is recycled. The air you breath, the water you drink even the food you eat is to some extent recycled. If the planet dwellers really thought about it they'd realise the same is true for them, maybe they have plants instead of CO2 scrubbers but it's the same principle.

What few people realise is that even our news and politics are recycled. Sure the names, faces and other fine details change but the basic stories don't. The old themes of power and corruption echo throughout human history. Nothing ever changes.

You know what, lets just recycle the whole show.

FAO Pollsetter: Consider this my drabble, and make it the last one in the poll should any more entries come in from now

---------

The fear only grew as I continued across the Bubble. Each port, each bar the same.
Frank looked at Sven "That chocolate bar is nuts. It's like I'm getting a hazelnut in every bite."
As the potato-faced idiot stroked Wei's head he drooled: "Where's the ceremonial grog!"
He grinned devilishly, picturing Midden starving to death.
“… recycle that.
Oh yeah, I'm that crazy pirate that likes to cruise around."

The Captain sipped his coffee, Scrapping would be easy.
Alvin was having none of it, Wearily Frank turned the bicycle around and gave the screen a hefty wack.
Nothing ever, ever changes.

Some stuff that happened

*And that's why I wear a Onesie* said the *Special Forces* aboard a *Space Station* as *Psykokow and his marvelous magical pumpkin* collected *Hot Cargo*

Meanwhile *Cyborgs* found themselves *Out of Fuel* and in *A Dangerous Situation* but also *Lost in the style of Douglas Adams* after *Epic Battles* with *The Alliance*.

On *The Moon* some *Trumbles* exchanged *Incomprehensible Technobabble* causing *Mystery* amidst *The Chosen Few*

*Cripple Mister Onion* is played *For The Glory Of The Empire* although *Zero-g-Cricket* was *What I found in Winnard's Hole*

Summarizing their *Unexpected Results* *The Roman Dwarves* concluded: *"...And that's when they killed Simoof!"*

You had your big chance and you blew it. You could've entered the star Drabble that would have won the most amazing imaginary crowns you could never imagine in your wildest dreams.

You are too late for this week's competition. You now have to wait until next week.

And you can view this week's Drabbles at..

Ventura_ - What happen to last week’s Drabble, Mr Tree.

Matt found himself, once again talking to Investigator Jolly, “Stryker it’s in your best interest to

confess to the crime“.

Matt answered “I have been at my ship since I was released from the last time, checking on its

repairs Status”. Matt continued “I am sure there is film footage from the Docking area to confirm

this”.

Jolly click on his tablet and with a look of disappointment appearing, He Responded “Your free to go,

but don’t leave the station”.

Matt stood on the walkway in front of The Recycled Topic Bar wanting a stiff drink to calm his

nerves.

I really like the twisted turns this has taken this week.
