Coasterbuff - While I have been out of the MSTS community for the last 5 years or so. You might know me from the MSTS community from years ago. In fact, you might have rode the tracks on the route that my friend and I created and that route is called "Rattlesnake Desert" which will be 10 years old next month. I cant believe that route was released back in September of 2007. My name is the same as I was using with the MSTS train forums. What is your name that you use over on the train sim forums? Dont tell me it is Ottodad.

Wings and Strings - I am really enjoying your railroad stuff. While I might not play with Microsoft Train Simulator anymore. I am still a big fan of railroads. I really love the stations and the roundhouse/turntable. BTW, I love your Southern Pacific caboose that is in the workshop already as that is my favorite railroad. Hopefully when I get my hands on Planet Coaster after I get my new PC in December or shortly there after. I will be able to find a home for some of your stuff in my wilderness theme park that I am planning to build.

Thanks, Eaglefan. If you're a fan of the SP, then I have news for you: Not only is there a C-40-1 caboose in the workshop, but also PFE refrigerator cars, a trio of SP, Pacific Electric, and T&NO boxcars, and the holy grail of lost SP steam, an MT-4 steam locomotive in skyline casing and daylight paint.

More locomotives, rolling stock, and automobiles are on the way, including a GS-3, M-6, and P-8 steam locomotive, an EMD F-7 and GP-9 in black widow paint, a Baldwin S1000 and AS-616 in tiger stripe paint, some Harriman and Daylight coaches, more freight cars, and all sorts of other SP goodies. After that, expect some Santa Fe, Western Pacific, and Nacionales de Mexico items as well!

Thanks Wings and Strings - I already saw most of the SP stuff that you had prior to me seeing this thread. However, I would love to see you do # 4449 in the daylight and freedom paint scheme. As for Santa Fe, Are you planning to do # 3751? Also, If there was a way you could do the Southern Pacific heritage unit that Union Pacific did for their heritage series. That would be awesome. When i get around to making the GS-3 in daylight and wartime black schemes, it will just take a quick nose and cab modification to make the GS-4 in those same colors. However I likely won't be offering the GS-4 in freedom paint as I'm concentrating on 1940s-50s rather than modern repaints or one-offs. I'm not sure if ATSF 3751 will be on the docket either, as I only initially planned a 1000-series 2-6-2 and a blue FT-A/B set of diesels.

OK.....I just thought it would be nice to have # 4449 in both paint schemes. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing what is coming out soon.

Two new art deco streamlined steam locomotives are done! Southern Pacific GS-3 #4416 and GS-4 #4449. Admittedly there is a compromise with the driving wheels: It is impossible to make plausible-looking boxpok drivers with the current piece set, so they are spoked for the time being. If future updates provide new pieces, I will see if Boxpok drivers are possible.

I would never have the patience to build stuff like that. I'm a train nut, too and I like steam trains. I've been on a lot of steam tourist railroads and a few mainline excursions such as with NKP 765 and N&W 611 when NS had their 21st Century Steam Program a few years ago. Now they continue to let N&W 611 pull excursions and next year 611 may run with Amtrak in order to have Amtrak provide liability insurance. The SP 4449 just ran a very long overnight public excursion on BNSF in Oregon in June.
