General Adding favorite bookmarks on the navigation panel.

it would be nice to be able to display two or three bookmarks marked as "favorite" on the navigation panel in addition to the buttons for galaxy map and system map.
Clicking on these bookmarks could then immediately calculate a route, or if the destination is in the same system, set this as the destination of the next jump.
Possible uses would be e.g. the home station or a trading route.

As far as I know, this has been asked several times and there were some commitments, that the navigation panel will get some polishment in the future.
It's a feature I'm missing for years now :/

I have searched the forum, but have not found anything suitable at first go. (but I didn't read through every thread that contained the word "bookmark").

Mostly leaving a reply here as a +1. This is something I've been wanting as a feature for a while now; the performance of the galaxy map is low enough that it would invariably improve my gameplay experience if I could minimize the number of times I have to go in and out of it.
