Adle's Armada Official Statement: Destruction of 'chrono-charidy' criminals in Eravate

But now it's just getting like a debate over who wins, and i think that's the reason less and less pvp'ers are starting to log on every day, including me.

PvP-Pro-Bro's must understand that Elite cannot be "won".

If fewer and fewer PvP-Pro-Bro's are logging on every day, that points to the PvP-Pro-Bro's not liking the game. Everyone else who enjoys playing the game will continue to do so, and I doubt that very many will mourn the loss of the PvP-Pro-Bro's.

Yeah, the more we hunt down toxic players, the better.
I always enjoy getting interdicted by a player, who proceeds to shoot me for my nonexistent cargo (I often travel with either nothing in my cargo hold, or no cargo hold at all) and I turn around and kill them. Pirates don't even bother to scan anymore, it's sad.
We need to go on a killing spree, just hunt them all down.

Just like pro/anti gamergate and their "giving" to charity. Oh yes, I went there.

There are no righteous sides in this debacle, only heads to be placed firmly within the palms of hands.

I'm not aware of either GG or anti-GG setting up a "charity" drive to openly harass, attack, verbally abuse, give mean looks to, or whatever activity you feel is appropriately analogous at either randoms on the street or known members of the opposing group. I'm afraid I'm going to need some sources and a reasoned argument to substantiate this comparison, because from where I'm sitting it seems like "going there" was utterly irrelevant except as a means to shoehorn this event into the mold of an unrelated distasteful event.

Yes it is all in game, but when you guys are coming into our system that we play in almost exclusively to get a rise out of us (you knew this would annoy us), of course we are going to be       . We aren't there to fight groups of people that are there to waste our time, we are there to kill off <people> that are looking to make the game unplayable for people who don't know how to play the game. If you would kindly leave us the he alone and take your salt elsewhere, you wouldn't ever hear from us. Eravate IS NOT the new Lave. Take the terrorism to the CGs or the PP HQs. I mean that in the most sincerest way possible.

TL;DR: don't go away angry, just go away.

TL;DR: Gamergate is not relevant anymore, nor does it pertain to the discussion. By mentioning you're only politicizing the issue of "Let's hunt down people that are toxic" when it's not political at all.
Can we just,         play videogames?

me and verax are in the top 5 most wanted players in eravate, been killing players for the past 2 days without seen any AA members. They are doing a great job protecting Eravate.

fun stuff...

One of the many reasons why I went to Cubeo.

Does not follow. I asked for evidence, or at the very least some kind of argument.

Here's one I whipped out of my bottom, in keeping with the theme of the responses in this thread. I hope it is to your liking!

Just like the charitable drives employed by goobergate and their similarly childish opponents, the charitable drives seen here are nothing more than soapboxes for various parties to stand upon to announce that their particular point of view is not only right, but also the morally and ethically correct choice. The act of "defending innocents" at this point is pretty much second fiddle to clammering atop of the other side to proclaim moral superiority; imagine a game of Mount Your Friends, where the goat is everyone else wishing an NPC faction would just roll in and boot out the narcissists. And with that good sir, I bid you goodnight!

Actually if you scan your target you are pretty much guaranteeing you won't get anything, this wasn't the case when the playerbase was less savvy but now your basically spending 8 seconds doing nothing. The best method for piracy is send a message, gauge their actions for as little time as possible, generally if they are cooperating or fleeing (or logging out) is apparent pretty quickly - then go hostile or wait for drop, i'd only scan if they tell you they are empty, just to see if they are telling the truth.

I'm sure thats of no interest to you but just wanted to explain why nobody scans :p

Also total waste of a utility point on a Python.

If you sit at the drop off point of an imperial slaves trade route and a ship jumps in, its either a trader or a bounty hunter.
Win win either way.

This thread is like if, back in the days of Tarren Mill-Southshore world pvp, one faction's players went from role playing in emergent gameplay to truly believing OUTSIDE of WoW that they were part of a real conflict of good vs evil.

The whole "we protect the new players from predators or pirates" thing is great RP, and also probably does help some new players get a better start. It kind of seems like you feel this makes you a morally superior human being in real life, and that the worlds owes you some recognition. Telling everyone how much money you raised for charity over and over also suggests the wrong types of motivation. This is a video game. The amount of actual good or evil anyone can do in it doesn't even come close to mattering morally outside the game world. If you really want to feel like a hero,go volunteer somewhere or something.

... you are your own worst enemy.

Or to quote our beloved NPCs: How do you even make a living? (as "pirate" in a FAS stuffed with HRPs).

Giving up a tiny bit of efficiency for a cargo scanner might go some way towards tackling the perception that there are no true pirates, only griefers. Voice of the Open Sewer, you are your own worst enemy.

I am one of the greatest pirates this games has ever known!

Your griefing comments as always are delicious!

Avast me hearties yo ho!

Who can forget Blizzard's solution to ganking at Crossroads? Ah Sergra, the number of times you sprinted through buildings and terrain at the speed of sound to cleave my Rogue in half. "No DK! No DK!".

Ok, guys. After discussion with the mod team this thread will be closed. It's basically a continuation of the other two charity threads that were also closed down and the topics are drifting into things better covered elsewhere in already existing threads.

Thank you!
