Im back. I hear 2.4 beta is 1 day before my birthday? thankyou FD :)

Prepare your ships everyone remember...

"Although you won’t see them in the beta, from day one after 2.4’s final release the Thargoids will make their return. We can’t wait to see your interactions with the most mysterious and terrifying things you'll have seen in the Elite Dangerous galaxy to date."

Were gonna need all the help we can get. Thargoids may or may not be hostile from the get go.

If they're not putting thargoids into the upcoming beta, then there's some other unsaid feature(s) they want us to test out for them that's only tangentially related to the patch title, like previous patches.

Argh.. just got insta-fragged by one of those skimmers that have been corrupted by the Thargoids.. was just about to land at Alcazar's Hope, when out of nowhere.. WHAM! Damn bugs.

Yes to that. Argh, 2.4 can't come fast enough can it? However, I have to say Frontier make a great storyteller. The tension is thicker than my brick of an Xbox! Even Raxxla theories get exhausted without more content. Though the wait is justified. Bugs to quash, Bugs to program, Bugs to implement, etc.

Just visited my first Thargoid site (the one at Pleiades Sector BG-X C1-14 5D). It was pretty neat! I couldn't get into it, was just going for a look around the outside. But I did see some Scavengers cleaning up the structure - I'm guessing it's not normal behaviour for them to phase through the ground as they wander about (that did kinda deflate my excitement a bit. Could they not have pathed them properly)? If the Thargoids have phasing technology then we're all screwed... ;)

Also, has anyone had a good look at the scavengers from above? They're really rather pretty.

They do seem to hav a five fold symetry, like the old thargons.
That would make them drones. The thargons stoped all flying as soon as the mothership was destroyed in Elite. The scavengers are probably controlled by the US, in a similar way.

Was hovering quite high, at one point (EDIT: ...last week), in solo, studying the ground patterns, when something that looked ship sized emerged somewhere in the US area, flew along the surface at a leisurely pace until it was a little past the fractured ground distance and then just disappeared.
Guessing it was a scavenger that bugged out and flew higher and farther than usually; Perhaps a float exponent mismatch. :7

Perhaps a sacrifice of some kind to the Mistress of the Minions might be in order, followed by loud chants of Ulatec! Ulatec! Ulatec!

Anyone know where we can find a virgin?

Perhaps standing under them is not such a good idea then.
They do, um, "spray" stuff under themselves every-so-often.

I can collect the artifacts and scan the Obelisks but I don't get any of the Results. So the answer is no.

You need to Dock in Meene first and get the mission from Ram Tah.
Check Inbox and Transaction tabs
Only then will collecting the artefacts and scanning the obelisks with the correct combo yield progress in the mission and a message from Ram Tah about the data collected.

Without the mission you will only just get the Alpah -> Eplison Obelisk data in your data tab

Just a point I noticed, two days ago I docked at Felice Dock station in Meene to pick up my ships that had been left there since April (when I got fed up with the bugged Ram Tah mission & went to Beagle Point).
I noticed that when I docked, the message telling me about the mission didn't automatically appear in my message box as it always did before & I couldn't find it on the mission board either.
Is this mission actually running now?

There have been reports of Felice being bugged, you could try one of the other stations in meene - mission is still active
