can somebody explain why the UL makes strange signals around a barnacle? I wanted some signals to decode so i decide to land on merope 5c instead of dropping out in orbit. After jettison the ul i played an unknown signal. It respond transmitting the Highs and Lows but right in the middle it stopped. Played the same message again but nothing happend except the glowing and whale sounds

How does one get the Sirius permit? I want to get the corosive racks. I'm fully allied with the Sirius faction but can't figure out how to get the permit.

Just in case, you need allied status with the Sirius Corporation faction. There are quite a few Sirius factions, and at least one or two are very similar in name to Sirius Corporation, (ie, Sirius Incorporated), but being allied to one of the others will not get you the permit.

Don't know how long it takes to get 'em by becoming allied - I'd give it a while (appears at top of my list).

Wonder when we'll see the beta decals?

As I recall, following the Gnosis CG, it took some time for the decals to become available because Frontier Development had to manually sift through the data to determine who received the decal. I suppose it's a job easily handed off to summer interns. You might need to give them a little prod if it's not a full time ongoing function. Don't know why it isn't automated (perhaps they have managed to automate it now, but that is the last information I saw after the Gnosis CG).

Got my permit from Procyon Friday. In theory, yes, any system with Sirius Corporation as a faction should show it on their mission board.

Go to Varati and find the Gnosis.

There's also the foremost STEM station in all of humanity:
Canonn Institute in COL SECTOR 285 IX-T D3-43 - another CG-built station. Medium pads only though

That's very nice diagram. There are some sites that feature so-called "leviathans", very large fossil-looking structures. I wonder how those figure into the whole pattern.

To me it looks like they are eating the structure. The beam is absorbing not repairing and the structure is heavily pitted where they have been chewing onit.

Fascinating stuff but difficult to study behaviour when the AI is running simple routines.

Removing tissue that is permeated with invasive fungal growth, perhaps, the way you would with cancer, with this sacrificial containment process possibly having consumed entire lobes of the huge structures, over the many many years in intensive care?

Aternatively, we are now at a stage where the scavengers can extract the infection, whilst leaving cleaned tissue in place...

Meta alloys are supposedly iridescent, by the way; And presumed "healthy" surfaces on the structures have some serious chromatic optical effects going on. :7
