Pretty sure the stance is to report the game as it is, whether that is a bug or not.
Seems to me that the differences have been pretty well covered since the first ruins.
Hey folks, if one of your theories holds true I really buffled and concerned of the nature of this quest.
In order to solve one of your fantastic theories you need a master degree in mathematics and astronomy.
I cannot fancy that FDevs are going the route.
This is a game after all and the quest should be solvable for the average gamer out there.
I still guess there is a much simpler solution for this hunt but we cannot see the wood for the trees.
Just because a thing seems really hard to you doesn't mean "you need a master degree in mathematics and astronomy"
There's nothing discussed on this thread that takes more than knowing how to download a free app from the internet or high school algebra.
I'm getting very irritated at people who complain about how we have to use all these super advanced external tools and have all this training and expertise to figure an OPTIONAL PUZZLE in this game, when its all just basic math and simple to use free apps from github.
If this is too hard, wait till you have to take a math test or get a job or find a parking spot in a busy city.
It would get confusing to start removing stuff. Often we don't know things are because of a bug until we are told by FDev. This could be hours, days or weeks after any information has come to light. The sheer number of posts that people post with data is incredible. Trying to police that more than currently is would be like spitting into the wind.
This so much. It's not even an active exploit, it's something that HAPPENS TO YOU while you're trying to do things the normal way.
It may be a bug but it is the reality of the game universe right now, in a way that looking into the game files is not.
If we refer to the same map (the one on the first page), then I'm sure you"ve been mistaken by the message lag.
To check that you can :
1. Rescan this obelisk with Orb only. If you don"t hear the voice saying "incoming critical message", then you are right. If not, I'm right.
2. Rescan this obelisk with Tablet only. If you don"t hear the voice saying "incoming critical message", then I'm right. If not, I'm wrong.
EDIT : in order to avoid other mistakes, it's hardly adviced to do this test in solo mode.
EDIT 2 : By the way, since the Tablet is the primary key for obelisk A19, logic would says it can't give you a Technological data.
The fact that you are taking the mission, then doing the thing at the Ruins, earn credits, and heading back to the station, get the credits, then switching Ship/instance to get the missions again ! Which is an exploit, the bug is that you can take the missions again from Zero ! and do it again and etc.. I think that the real behavior is the fact that if you drop the missions, if you take it again you take it from where you start.
After you turn in the mission the very next time you enter a station in the Meene system you get the mission again automatically. You don't have to switch ship or instance. In fact you can't avoid getting the mission again even if you wanted to. So you've given Asterix the wrong impression of what is going on, which means his response isn't relevant and we still don't know what the official position on this is.
i did geometry all day, drawing in front/ top view and made a 3d model. need to check before show you.
so for now, i could just say that MAYBE nord/sud pôles are used by the guardian for the network. this seem logic because we know ( read all 36 data carefully) they can communicates FASTER THAN LIGHT and maybe magnetic field CAN do that ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faster-than-light ) .
im actually check my 2nd way ( easier to check ): 3 ruins points formed by ZE / GW / XO will make an equilateral triangle. i think i have 2 points ( Ze / GW ) need to check on XO the good radius and the good axial tilt ( candidates: D2, C2, C3a ).
fly safe ! i ll be back if i have some fresh and SOLID !
I don't think Canonn has a stance on that. We did have some thread rules agreed some time ago & I asked Rizal to put them upfront on the first page so everybody is aware since there are a lot of newcomers to this thread.
As an observation, I think the tone and style of the Canonn threads has changed a bit. That is not a dig at anyone at all, but rather I think the advent of Discord has changed things. I don't know for sure, as whilst I have access to the Canonn Discord I don't often go there, owing to hating Discord. But, I suspect there is a parallel and somewhat more lean and refined set of discussions going on there.
I say this as the same thing happened in Power Play. Back in the day, when I used to do power play, and has some involvement in the running on the Reddit Mahon crowd, the reddit page was the go to place for tactics, plans and info. Today it's a ghost town. It did not die and everyone left, it just goes on, on Discord now. That's when I dropped out of all that, as, as I said, I hate Discord.
The tone has changed somewhat, which is inevitable. Different people come and go. Different mysteries have different styles to them. But this thread is busier than ever; there's no sign that Discord is replacing this thread in any way. The problem with Discord for this sort of thing (IMO), is that it's terrible for context. There is no quoting so unless a channel rigidly sticks to a single conversation thread everything gets jumbled up and it's basically impossible to sort out later. There is also no linking to individual posts other than by pinning so summarising and archiving is near impossible.
[up] and +1 (100 if I could)
U summarize in a way that makes me think, what if Your figure 1 (relic tower base glyphs) might be the recipe how to switch on the different message packets (1-7 packet1,2,3; 8-15 packet 1,2.3: 16-21 packet 1,2,3)?
Just a quick question. Is it possible to know which data you've collected other than the comms panel? I ask it because the mission log is crediting for 37 data pieces, but I only received Ram Tah's confirmation on 22. Player logs aren't much helpful either. I can't find a way to discover which data I'm missing, other than trying every possible combo on both sites.
I think that you don't get confirmation from Ram Tah on successful scans after the first time so if you're doing the mission more than once you'll only get the message for new cases you haven't done before. Yes, it's difficult to keep track of what you have and haven't scanned, especially in open/PG.
Alright, another small update and a bit of guessing of what the high-pitched encoded data in the obelisks may mean.
First off, last time the tokenized data was in a rather s****y format, so I wrote a little program for myself to convert and count all the tokens in the strings that I myself have recorded (54 + 28 strings in total). The data dump is below:
and a picture to give slight context to the tokens
NB: tokens A and B (and C?) may be slightly hard to tell apart, however I assure you they look extremely different when you have looked at them for hours on end like I have
This is how they would look like on a spectrogram.
So, here are the facts about the strings.
1) They always end in an identical end block.
2) There are two sets of 3 tokens (0, 1, 2 and A, B, C). The 0, 1, 2 set look like vertical blocks and the A, B, C set look like horizontal lines. The only token that doesn't fit into either set is the S token because it incorporates a block component (narrow vertical line) and horizontal lines component (the short horizontal lines following right after the narrow vertical line).
3) 2 tokens of the same type never follow each-other, eg. SS or 11 or BB are not valid combinations for these strings, I guarantee they never happen.
4) Every string ALWAYS contains at least 1 of every token. However, it doesn't seem like there is a certain maximum limit to how many times a token can appear.
5) Based on the last point, the minimum string length is 7 tokens.
Theories:
1) This is some sort of visualised/audiolized(this isn't a word, is it...) form of a sign language
2) This is some sort of spoken language
3) This is some sort of numbering system (2 sets of 3 numbers with a "seperator"? perhaps unlikely...)
If this indeed is a numbering system then it is not a normal "base x" numbering system because 2 tokens of the same type can not follow each-other.
afin d'apporter ma contribution:
Je souhaite vous rappeler que on ne peut pas calculer tout et n'importe quoi.
Il faut respercter certains principes mathématiques.
On ne mélange pas les unités si l'on veut des calculs exactes.
(voir lien suivant).
Exemple 1 : 1 days = 1 sec*60 sec*60 min*24H = 86400 sec
Si vous voulez calculez du temps il faut absolument utiliser des secondes.
google trad
In order to make my contribution:
I want to remind you that you can not calculate anything and everything.
Some mathematical principles must be respected.
Units are not mixed if exact calculations are to be made.
(See next link).
Example 1: 1 days = 1 sec * 60 sec * 60 min * 24H = 86400 sec
If you want to calculate time it is absolutely necessary to use seconds.
OK, crackpot idea time. This is all to do with Cluster "H" found at the first ruins site. (See maps on FrontPage)
From the bugged data bleed in pg and open, this cluster yielded the most data, and my crazy brain thinks it has spotted a pattern in that cluster.
From the extra data bled in pg and open, I have made some projected guesses as to the combos needed to get data from the currently inactive obelisks - if, IF, they were functioning.
This is just a bit of fun really, but I will be looking to make a comparison as to what I "guess" is missing and what comes out of the new site in terms of working combos.
Here is the cluster with the original numbering as is the "official" map:
And here is a link to a copy of the spreadsheet itself - please feel free to copy. If there are errors - please let me know, or poke fun, have a biscuit, whatever
Yes, that is the "master order". Ca, Ur, Ta, Or, To, Re. If you order it like that you will find that your namings will follow A,B,C,D,E,Z.
The Culture row follows it perfectly. Language may as well. But for Tech frontier made a mistake with the data entry. Since Tech12 and Tech13 are OrRe. But Tech12 should have been OrTo.
