It does appear that one or more of the newly discovered objects are a critical component/s for the crashed ship. At least to me.

A few conspicuously empty points on the derelict do seem to be roughly the right shape at least.

These are triangle shaped thargoids prefer hexagons.
These are very clearly mechanical in nature, where as the crashed ship is more organic.

Put stuff in barnacles, in the top of barnacles, or try to put a UP in the ruins and use the advanced scanner [alien]

Went ahead and treid to get the lines only, remembering the image encoded into the probe. Might be rubish, but might give some ideas if not rubish :p

To me it almost looks like Stonehenge or something. I wonder if we are not supposed to use it to triangulate a star in the sky of the moon itself.

That or the bigger spheres represent the stars in that system and thus map points a specific direction from the main star.

My point is if it is a map the reference point is either the site itself or that system, otherwise a map like that with no legend would be useless.

"I am approaching the Obelisk." Does anyone else recognize this. Perhaps this is where Orion is from. I got a close look at the blue crystals on top and it looks like human(oid) figures are etched into them. Like a 3D image. I'll try grabbing some video tomorrow and see if I can isolate the images.
