I don't think the PR image is very telling of things, it has the right components but I fear it is all just mashed together in one scene to emphasize the features. After all we haven't found a site that contained the fumaroles in the background either.

So I take it the pillar is just put in the spot to emphasize that their are beacons to be found.

I guessing ERP in the message is from the military meaning "en-route rally point (ERP)"

So I'm thinking if Hawkins Gap is ERP 001, The Conflux is ERP 002 and Formidine Rift is ERP 003. Where is ERP 004? Is it PHAA?

3 have been found in the conflux

this might lead to think that one is missing in the conflux, but:

In the rift and in the gap the given system contined the first probe, then other 3 have been found nearby.
In the conflux in the given system there's nothing: just a single M class (or K, can't remeber). M (or K) main sequence are not bigger than 1000Ls, the probe could be anchored only around the star. Whereevcer direction you enter the system, you should be at 1000Ls from the probe if it was there, since there's not another planet, not even an asterois belt.

So probably the "first" conflux probe went missing (fell in the corona of the starr, kidnapped by thargoids, whatever).
In game they probably never implemented it. They knew we would have found them superfast so they made this trick to make us consume a lot of time in the conflux.

To this I add that a 12 of CMDR (minimum) have searched the sector for 2 evenings. In the other 2 sectors all the probes have been found very fast.

I can be wrong, the probe could be in the outskirts of the area (200Ly radius), but i think we already found all the probes (they can alway ninja patch more anytime).

An update:
The key to decipher the code was brute-forced as being the word "EXODUS".
Now we have a Galnet Article that, casually, is hinting it... too late... if I may say ;)

The independent audit of defunct technology company MetaDrive Inc. has now reached an end, and other than a few minor items the acquisition of all remaining assets has been completed.

One such item is the Imperial Eagle of the company's late chairman Femi Dakarai, which was owned by MetaDrive. In a strange turn of events, the ship was stolen by former MetaDrive employee Raan Corsen, who disappeared shortly after the audit began.

A number of files relating to Dakarai's affairs are also believed to be missing. A junior member of the audit team reported that a series of so-called 'exodus documents' could not be located. The employee was unceremoniously removed from the audit team shortly afterwards.

A spokesperson for BigSix, the auditor, provided a statement:

"The audit of MetaDrive is now complete, and contrary to previous misleading reports, we have all the documentation we need. It transpires the Eagle spacecraft stolen by Raan Corsen crashed somewhere in the Alioth system while fleeing security forces. The vessel was fully insured, so BigSix is not unduly concerned by its loss."

OK I recall something being said about Monday night for the ruins. Is this still on? If you're not supporting CoR, give me a shout and let's see what other CMDRs are around.

Something interesting, but probably an instancing issue (won't know until we can get another group there, though)... By that I mean that it *appeared* that I was getting the audio spectra from multiple obelisks at one time. It'd be interesting to see if that happens with just 3 or 4 of us there.

Yes, I think a private wing of 4 should enable more clarity. PM me if you know when you have a plan for something, there might be others there from the gathering on Thursday.

I'm up for one final shot at this location, even though I think we've discovered all we have - one more eyeball on it can't hurt, from there I'd like to do one of the latest CGs maybe.

Monday was going to be the alternate if we didn't get enough on Thursday.
The point of my experiments was always to bring in enough CMDRs to activate several things at the same time. Thursday's event pretty much confirmed that this is useless due to instancing and spawning bugs when that many CMDRs are present in the same instance. So Monday is cancelled for my experimentation atleast. If someone else wants to get people together, feel free. Just remember that bringing in a lot of CMDRs to do science sooner or later amounts to herding cats :D

I'll decide what to do shortly and will let you know.

Hey no worries, I am at the end of my experiments pretty much, just want to cross off a few things before I move on.

There might be a few up for it - but like I said I would like to keep it to private instance groups of wings just to be sure - might get better results. But cheers - last Thursday was a complete blast, haven't had that much fun in ages on E: D.

Any other times and you need spare CMDRs, give me a shout!

Haha. Ever since xdeath's discovery of the ruins, it feels like the devs are rushing to keep up with the amazing work that the CMDRs in this and the rift thread are doing.

Yes, that "Exodus documents" phrase is suggestive. Coupled with the recent announcement of Sirius long range probes being deployed & likely to have self-defence capabilities then it does add another dimension to the plotline.
I suspect this is a Fed/Imp project to plan for a max exodus from the bubble should/when the alien threat (that they already know about- from Rift plot & attempt to silence Salome) materialise. Probably the attempt to silence Salome is because they are planning for only the elite to escape & not the masses.

I still go with my hypothesis that the Dynasty comms beacons relate to an earlier (Galcop era) exploration project that encountered this alien threat in the first place, however I could be wrong!

Are there anyone here close to the CG in the Formadine Rift?

I can´t seem to find a way to some star systems pretty close to the CG. Here is one:

So only a quarter of the way out to the rift.....and everything(?) is found..........shall continue in an attempt to rank up to elite exp but should I be looking especially hard for "added" content?????

I feel there is more to be found out here, these beacons mean something and perhaps lead somewhere. After all the CG calls for planet types, composition, spectral analysis and so forth. So perhaps these beacons are not the only things out here but upon searching and DDS planets we might find something else.

I agree. I would suggest a spiral search centred on the first beacon position, at different heights above/below the galactic plane. If I ever get my new hotas arrangement sorted I still hope to join in

Than I shall do a spiral formation until you get there. I just arrived out here late, late last night. Stayed to listen to the CG system beacon, then called it a night. Get off early tonight and have tomorrow off so hoping to put some good progress in.
