Did anyone already mention that this map is not complete?

There is a relic missing on the top right, more or less above Tablet 8 and 1, just like in the Ruins v1. Which means there are 4 relics

It has been mentioned a couple of times, I think an updated map was even posted some pages back. Most of us know how many relics there are anyway, even if the ruins did magically change layout while I wasn't looking.

Considering that Open has completely different monoliths functioning, and that you cant scan data you already have and that data you cant scan stays lit. We can safely assume the puzzle cant be solved from solo play or private groups. Unless private groups figured out how to get new obelisks lit. Also the fact that staying around other people who scan gets you data more often than actually scanning is utter .

That's not necessarily true - it's good that FDev get to see just how much allowing this jerk behaviour can put people off getting involved with open play in the game. If Xbox players are being banned from chat for mild swears but people can be utter jerks and get away with it they need to reassess things.

Totally agree with this. Utterly ridiculous to have a situation where killing is all fine and dandy, but a bit of swearing causes a fuss. Ok, the killing's in a game, but still...

Is the sky fixed or moving?

Would it be possible for someone at the ruins to take a very long time lapse video of the sky? The more I see of other people's pictures it appears that the odd orbital parameters of this moon might lock the same stars in view. Maybe with a slight wobble, or something, but I think we need to find out if the sky is pseudo-fixed...

Yours Aye

Okay, sorry then :) The thread is moving so fast that I can't keep up with it.

Just noticed something crazy.

I was sitting at 1 and looking towards 2. Using 2 and 3 as crosshairs like a gun (or orbital gun) the moon and directly in the center.

+rep for getting a clear shot with the planet dead center. I was trying to clear one up but it wasn't coming out well. Very grainy due to SweetFX filters....

Gonna bebop over there after breakfast. o7

Thanks Glastinghouse. I've just found that one as well (and done a sweep around the base to check for any further relics). As they're hidden under the ground that can make them hard to find.

is that moon tidally locked? If yes, we could search along a simple line that could have been reachable *IF* that thing was a electromagnetic launcher a couple aeons ago

Don't think you need to search in a line. He got a great screenshot of it dead center in the sights and it fits too perfectly to be a coincidence, so if this isn't a red herring X marks the spot and that's where the treasure is to be found.

Really like this idea!

Perhaps the ruins was the launch pad for the Guardians initial space travel endeavors. Also, that moon is beautifully rendered so this might be a thing.
