All Jurassic Challenges DONE!

custom challenges are tough... i did a simple one on "hard" on germany and i am just running between fixing stuff, filling up generator and taking photos of the dinosaurs... i am always around $60k... somehow i got stuck in a loop... cant use science and no expeditions because i have storms in 5 minute intervalls destroying everything.... thats way too hard. i have no idea how to get out of this... never had to start over the challanges from the game that often like a simple custom one on hard.
And this is WHY I think ppl should not be allowed to share challenge unless they can beat it themselves.

Even with bug(no these 2) it's still doable. Just took longer.

Germany challenge mode is doable only if the dinosaur cohabitation element is amended under the following:

  • Pachycephalosaurs liking ornithomimids, hadrosaurs, and ceratopsians
  • Stegosaurs dislike pachycephalosaurs
  • Dracorex, Stygimoloch, and Pachycephalosaurus can mutually cohabit
  • Styracosaurus cannot cohabit with Nasutoceratops
  • Pentaceratops cannot cohabit with Pachyrhinosaurus, Styracosaurus, and Triceratops
  • Pentaceratops and Alamosaurus can mutually cohabit
  • Torosaurus cannot cohabit with Nasutoceratops and Chasmosaurus
  • Torosaurus and Alamosaurus can mutually cohabit
  • Torosaurus and Triceratops like each other
  • Apatosaurus and Camarasaurus like each other
  • Diplodocus can mutually cohabit with Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Camarasaurus

Herbivores' dislike relationships based on paleobotany ONLY SPOILS THE GAME MAKING IT WORST OFF.

@Slowpokeking I apologize to bring out the bad news. After I gotten my hands on the Prehistoric Marine Species DLC, I checked my attempt on the Germany challenge mode in Hard difficulty. Though Archelon and Shonisaurus are available to use in the Germany challenge regardless of difficulty, I do not think there will be room for those two species in Jurassic difficulty.

Furthermore here are the popularity rating:

2 stars - I'm sure I've read about them somewhere

- Shonisaurus

3 stars - These dinosaurs are real classics

- Archelon

This is not a complete list.

How the hell did I guys complete challenge mode I been 16 hrs so far and only at 3.2 stars, I had no prob with chaos or the campaign. Wish someone would do my challenge mode for me so I can get those stupid trophies.

@D279mi Sorry to say, it is best to do the Jurassic-difficulty challenges on your own. I find the chances of getting the achievement on doing the Germany challenge mode in Jurassic difficulty to be very low given the game's current status.

It will be sometime before I could get the one from completing the Southwest USA challenge mode in Jurassic difficulty, as I need every DLC I could get my hands on.

Update: since the Cretaceous Predator Pack DLC is being announced, I decided that I will wait no longer. Once I get the DLC, I will attempt the official Southwest USA challenge mode in Jurassic difficulty.

I have a question for all fans and players: what do you say about having automated hatcheries available in campaign, Chaos Theory, and challenge mode (both official and custom) to deal with the aging population?

I thought automated hatcheries would be more economical than keeping the synthesis and incubation teams. There is a possibility that genetic modifications may be forgone in favor of profitability.

Update: Though the newest DLC the Cretaceous Predator Pack does not help much, I managed to complete the last of the "kill two birds with one stone". By completing the official Southwest USA challenge in Jurassic difficulty, I both unlocked the cosmetic genes and gotten the achievement.

The official Southwest USA challenge is sure the toughest of the tough.

Here is a tip to new players: you might have to switch teams so that profitability will not be jeopardized. First, have the research team consisting of 2 x cheaper research, 1 faster research, and logistics specialist. The genetic specialist can assist in research, DNA extraction, and synthesis. During the research process, bring all the dinosaurs wondering the wilds in the map into exhibits. The genome team consist of 2 x cheaper expeditions, 1 faster expedition, and 1 faster extraction.

Honestly, I prefer automated hatcheries in maintain the dinosaur population than keeping the team consisting of 2 x cheaper synthesis and 2 x cheaper incubation.

When it comes to the following likes relationships:

  • Majungasaurus and Carnotaurus
  • Suchomimus and Baryonyx

Be sure to filter out the individuals with the aggressive trait during the incubation process to prevent fights from breaking out between two species.

Though Tarbosaurus would make an excellent addition in the official challenge mode based on the film Jurassic World and it is functional, I will wait for Microceratus to be added before attempting the Jurassic difficulty challenge.

Here is a complete list of the popularity rating regarding the species available in the official Germany challenge mode:

1 star - Aren't dinosaurs meant to be really big?

  • Dryosaurus
  • Lystrosaurus

2 stars - I'm sure I've read about them somewhere

  • Alamosaurus
  • Amargasaurus
  • Archaeornithomimus
  • Barbaridactylus
  • Crichtonsaurus
  • Dracorex
  • Dreadnoughtus
  • Homalocephale
  • Minmi
  • Nasutoceratops
  • Pentaceratops
  • Sinoceratops
  • Shonisaurus
  • Tapejara

3 stars - These dinosaurs are real classics

  • Archelon
  • Camarasaurus
  • Chasmosaurus
  • Dimorphodon
  • Edmontosaurus
  • Elasmosaurus
  • Euoplocephalus
  • Gallimimus
  • Geosternbergia
  • Kronosaurus
  • Maiasaura
  • Muttaburrasaurus
  • Nodosaurus
  • Pachycephalosaurus
  • Pachyrhinosaurus
  • Plesiosaurus
  • Quetzalcoatlus
  • Struthiomimus
  • Stygimoloch
  • Styracosaurus
  • Torosaurus
  • Therizinosaurus
  • Tylosaurus

4 stars: If I have to name my favorite

  • Ankylosaurus
  • Diplodocus

5 stars: They're more like movie stars than dinosaurs

  • Apatosaurus
  • Brachiosaurus
  • Mosasaurus
  • Pteranodon
  • Triceratops

I only completed the official Germany challenge in Hard difficulty to unlock the cosmetic genes is because I have no confidence in completing it in Jurassic difficulty and right now it is not functional.

Yeah, no doubt it's the hardest one.

Update: After I have gotten the Park Managers' Collection Pack DLC, I completed the Jurassic difficulty challenge mode based on the film Jurassic World. The beginning of the challenge mode is tough given the cash constraints.

I encountered a problem when it comes to the dinosaur cohabitation element.

My research records said that Edmontosaurus' fossils were discovered in Lance Formation, Hell Creek Formation, Frenchman Formation, Scollard Formation, and Horseshoe Canyon Formation. To save space, I merged the Hell Creek Formation and Horseshoe Canyon exhibits into one exhibit.

Separating Stygimoloch and Pachycephalosaurus from the listed herbivore species is out of the question. It is the developers that should remedy this by making the pachycephalosaurids liking ornithomimids, hadrosaurids, and ceratopsids.

Germany is very easy, too.

@Slowpokeking The description of the Germany challenge goes as, "A quiet location set on the coast of Germany at the edge of a large temperate forest. Rules against genetic modifications are strict here and only herbivores are allowed." Though I may not know the Tapejara, it is hypocritical to have these carnivorous species that threaten people available:

  • Barbaridactylus
  • Dimorphodon
  • Geosternbergia
  • Pteranodon
  • Quetzalcoatlus
  • Plesiosaurus
  • Elasmosaurus
  • Kronosaurus
  • Tylosaurus
  • Mosasaurus
  • Megalodon

I suspected you and many others have cheated the Germany challenge in Jurassic difficulty using these species.
