(Almost) a month without expansions - request for FDev communication

The issue was first raised December 20th. It is not Fdevs fault nobody thought to raise the issue before then.

I raised it with Frontier 33 days ago when we noticed a faction I help out had been in expansion for at least 10 days. As of today it has been in expansion for at least 43 days!

The BGS has been fundamentally broken since the launch of Power Play 2.0. Everybody knows that. Frontier must know that.

I'm afraid that all that you posting uninformed antagonistic comments, like you have done so far in this thread, is going to do is anger a lot of people who have spent years of their lives working the BGS

For extra fun. A system which has had 8 factions locked into it since at least 2016, probably 2015, suddenly ejected one of the minor factions a couple of weeks ago. 8+ years of impossible to break stability, and then out of nowhere within the space of a week. Bam.

I can confirm that, our faction is not in Recovery state anymore, since the last tick. After 36 days.

You mean to say it is not frontier's fault one of the most played and important features of their game had been utterly nonfunctional for more than a month and they hadn't yet noticed?

Out of the blue this morning our Expansion completed after being active for 43 days, SEPP is out of expansion for now, but guess we will be back in thanks to all the power play shennagins thats been going on

It seems that we received our answer in the form of a server bugfix. All in all this is the best kind of answer we could get.

So it may seem. My faction's expansion went active this tick. Others are reporting in that theirs are progressing and others I'm watching are progressing, seemingly in the right order they were when everything was frozen in time. Many thanks to whoever consciously or inadvertently fixed this. However, donations are still broken and it remains to be seen if other missions work as intended for the BGS.

Nah, it'll surely have been someone diligently searching for the reason, then pressing the unpause button on some crucial system (Or maybe freeing space on an overflowing filesystem... Would be fun to find out but I imagine that's not on the cards.)

Hm, I had merits for a donation at the weekend. Are you saying that won't also have helped the underdog faction I deliberately picked in that system... ?

It varies. Missions seem to give no influence at all in some systems, and work entirely normally in others.

The BGS is working again.. Now we large Federation PMFs can reach out our hands, as we civilize uncouth brown coat independents in the name of progress and the Federation

I am not sure how the expansion counter got turned on again, but it feels like its is staggered. Probably would have been a mess if every faction in that state expanded at once on the same tick.

In our experiments which you can see on another thread, things may depend on the power in control of the system, or just faction. For my faction the missions are unreliable to use as a trigger, we have to use other means. Other factions, as I tested elsewhere, work just fine.

I imagine the state carried on from where it left off - some time in the first week of December.
