Alpha Centauri Warning..

on the old system yes, but this new one I cant be expected to take a day to get there. They just havent thought this new version out properly, it could do with an in system jump
I fully expect to see some systems out there that are even larger than this. They are just reflecting the reality of things. Now you could argue about being able to choose why star to arrive at with such sized systems, either before you arrive or via some in-system jump as you mention.

Found this bug I entered Alpha centari trying to get to sutton orbital but distance is too great I cannot jump to it and the distance is 0.22Ly and its a 2 day flight so this distance needs to be shortened of the ability to just a small distance

Not a bug.
I did it yesterday (and others have already done it). It took 1.5 hours, which is correct, as I spent half the journey accelerating to 1880c, then decelerating for the rest. I am there now, reluctant to leave before getting a few more screenshots, as I probably won't do the trip again lol.

Have been avoiding anything to do with Alpha Centuri.....

Just took a job to 36 Ophiuchi..... Station is 0.14LY away..... 10 minutes in and that hasn't changed.... time to put a film on while I wait... :)

Please FD, put the Nav Beacons closer to where the population actually is!

Nope wont happen you will jump to the largest gravitational object ie a Sun :)

Long journey and I think I will only do it once at some point, but it really does show the enormity of space and the distances involved. It also show cases the engine used to build the game, it really is a 1 to 1 scale or as close as they can make it. So many love to say immersion. I want immersion, then they get to see it in action, the true vastness of space, and suddenly immersion, the realness of the distances involved and suddenly immersion is broken for them as it is taking to long. I think it should stay that way to remind people immersion is not always best, game play rules. Then as a binary star allow us to hyperspace to it, as it is a star after all.

Mission to H.O.

I just closed the deal on a freight mission to Hutton and after an hour and a half, I decided that would be the last time for that! I did spend the time playing Lego's with the kid, so it wasn't time wasted!

Made it. Took just over an hour and only used 15% of my fuel. So anyone running out is doing something wrong.

I think many people are not aware that the reservoir (the thin line on the top) gets refilled from your main fuel tank when it runs empty. Seeing as they had the ability to jump elsewhere there is no reason they couldn't have made it.

FWIW I did this run myself, took maybe 80-90 minutes as per the other people here. I doubt I'll ever accept a mission here again. :D

I did it the other day in a Cobra. It took an hour and 20 mins. There's nothing there. Not worth the trip. Just a base. Destined to be the most unvisited place in the entire game.

How on earth do you make it there without running out of fuel! Can jump there with hyoperdrive and a explore class Cobra doesn't have the range to make a normal flight up to 1600C at the moment and still predicts a hour... i have 10% fuel left :D

Unless both your tanks are empty I think it's highly unlikely you'll run out of fuel. When the reservoir empties it gets refilled from your main tank.

Oh what have I signed up for.

Just took a mission to take supplies to Hutton Orbital, jumped into the system pointed my ship at the station and off I went, after five minutes wondered why it wasn't getting any closer then I saw the distance. Ship is now at 1542c and still 0.18Ly away with about an hour remaining. WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!
