Thank you for supporting the development of Planet Coaster. Today we’re thrilled to announce that players will be able to get hands-on with Planet Coaster for the first time when we release the Early Bird Edition Alpha in March 2016.

We plan to release Planet Coaster starting with the Alpha, giving players the opportunity to get early access to the game as we build it feature by feature in preparation for the final release. We're also happy to announce that all existing Beta customers are being upgraded to Alpha access and the Early Bird Edition at no extra charge!

Planet Coaster is an ambitious game, being created by an incredibly talented development team with a wealth of experience in developing coaster park simulation games and we can’t wait to get it in your hands!

We’re giving you limitless freedom to build rides and scenery piece by piece, and to seamlessly blend them with your own hand-sculpted terrain. Great! I'd like to know if the Early Bird version gives access to the non-public diaries and forums ? I assume it's all inclusive, but theres no info on it ?

I will need to check up on the internal settings on the store-->forums. I am fairly sure it does, but will double check and make sure that such is the case. [cool]

Just to check, right now I'm not seeing "extra" parts of the forum when logged in versus logged out.
Not sure if there are any extra parts of the forum already available for those people?

No you have to buy the "Coaster Head Club" to have access to the non public section. Early Bird doesn't give access.

What i'm not sure about is the fact that from what i understand the coaster head club gets access to the game when it's released and the "secret" forum to talk with devs vs the early bird that has the beta/alpha access and game at release, surely if you're talking to the devs early as with the coster head it would make sense to have early access as well?

Would i have to buy both the early access and coaster head (and so therefore 2 copies of the game) to get the early access and extra forum access?

No Coaster Head club doesn't give access to final game. Just private forum and some stuff (shirt and wristband)
so you have to buy both as u said but you will have one copie of game.

Who are beta costumers? Anyone who pre-ordered? What's the difference between preorder and Early Bird then?

If you have pre-ordered one of the packages with the Beta access then you will be moved into the Alpha access. I think its the "Planet Coaster Early Bird Pass" and there may be another, not sure though. A mod or team member would have to give you the right ones, but I know this one for sure.

Ahhh, bit misleading, when searching on the store i could only see these options, https://www.frontierstore.net/games/planet-coaster-cat.html, not realising that the coaster head on its own can be purchased from here https://www.frontierstore.net/game-extras/planet-coaster-game-extras.html, so looks like ive bought the coaster head version that does come with the game.

@any of the frontier guys - is there any chance for an option to purchase just the beta/alpha access just like there is too purchase the coaster head club? https://www.frontierstore.net/game-...game-extras/coaster-head-club-membership.html If not, can i refund my coaster head plus game and rebuy the early bird + the coaster head (on its own)?

Will the alpha in march be available as Steam Early access too?
And will we be allowed to redeem Steam key if we buy the game on the Frontier store?

As it says in the FAQ's: they have not talked to Valve for a steam integration, yet. the rct3 betas were send as .exe downloads.

it's funny they've specifically mentioned "peice-by-piece-building" [big grin]

Ok thanks for checking. It would be a bit strange to be able to Alpha+Beta test, but not be able to report bugs and post thoughts in the closed section of the forum

Also, it would seem a bit upside down, to not have all the preview info as the coaster head club gets, when you are able to play the game early. [noob] [happy]

both give you the final game. left also dass access to alpha/beta but not private forums and insights and right gives you private forums and insights but not access to alpha/beta.

so i think best option here is "planet coaster early bird pass" + "Coaster Head Membership".
