During the CG the 4x multiplyer is already active (at the Angus Manwaring station). After the CG the multiplyer depends on achievement.
I read that often here, but for me there was no multiplyer. I had data, that would have been worth 8.x million on my carrier, at the CG I could sell them for 11.x million, so that´s only the 25% difference I get less on carriers.

goids can be found around coalsack, but these groups seem more peaceful and just scan you.
If I look at the path of the goids what if they are just on their way from the california nebula to the pipe nebula and the humans, a young astronaut species, just stand in their normal Route they use sice ages?

Prepare for a bit of digressing

Yeah… I still think the game has Klaxian and Oresrians in it. This would mean that all Scouts are Klaxian, since they are immediately hostile. As well as your higher threat NHSS. Oresrians aren’t necessarily “friendly” per se, unless that’s who the CIEP were coordinating with on human/ Thargoid joint projects (if that is true), but Oresrians sure do like to use humanity as meat fodder, to slow down Klaxian advancement and so generally don’t interfere with mankind, unless fired upon, or carrying one of their pieces of tech lol.
…And I think that’s what the first Elite Dangerous “contact” was all about: the game originally had a Thargoid faction rep meter, which FDEV later said was an accident (seriously how does one accidentally implement a Thargoid rep system?). Also, FDEV did once tell us, in 2017, that the very first human/ Thargoid interaction may determine our influence with them, from that point on. Naturally, the first encounter was hostile, as humans are. That may have been our only chance to be friendly with the Oresrians.

But as the rep system goes? I believe FDEV meant to say “viewing your reputation with the Thargoid was an accident.” So they were technically telling the (half) truth. I wouldn’t be surprised if a system is in place, for one of those factions, somewhere within the BGS.

Attacking hostile Thargoid in activities and AX conflict zones, for instance? May be valid. But? Attacking the peaceful ones in NHSS5 or 6? May go against whatever hidden rep mechanic is there for the friendlier ones.

Did you sign up for the CG? And hand in the data at Angus Mainwaring station? The three times I've handed in exploration data there my credit balance has increased by 4x the stated CR value of the data.

Note that the user interface will tell you you've been awarded e.g 1 million CR, but you balance will increase by 4 million.

I did not sign up for the CG, but handed in some data at the CG station and got the 4x bonus payout.

Then that´s the problem. I didn´t check the balance, only read what they offered me for my data. I´ll check next time.

If you have any of the helpers installed (EDDiscovery, etc.) then you should be able to see the info in your journals even now.
that was for everything. As said, I didn't do the CG, I just handed in the data I had stored.
Yeah, what I was getting at though was that there seemed to be an open question about whether the increased payouts at the CG station are only for ammonia worlds, or for everything.

I used to pester the forum with a question for several years before the whirlwinds.
If I was intercepted by a Thargoid, my counter in the codex : encounters with Thargoids increased by 1.
But if I myself flew into the signal source and killed them (not always succeeded)
my counter did not change.
So I pestered a few years and then I got tired of it. I have not looked at this counter for a long time and do not know what is there now.

So I must return to the CG station giver before Thursday to deliver the exploration data or can I continue? I was thinking to return and then go back to the next system in the Spansh list. I asked 100 systems but I'm doing like 10 every day.

edit: Well I returned and with 45 system I got like 255 millions - 14 millios npc pilot wages, and it counts as 145 surveys and put me in the 25%.

edit 2: I just scanned ammonia and water worlds. I didn't found earth like worlds.

Yes, before Thursday next week. After that, there will be a bonus payout period on top depending on the completion tier.

From my run, Earth-like worlds are pretty rare. I think I found a couple in about a hundred worlds. One that I found was a binary planet pair with an ammonia and an earthlike orbiting quite close to each other, I bet those are interesting places to grow up!

I am doing a CG for the first time, so perhaps for other commanders the following info is nothing new.

Met the first player killer (since playing ED) in front of Angus Manwaring station. So if you have a weak ship or you suck at combat (both applies to me 😅 ), go into private mode turning in your explo data. Luckily i was going out and not going in. So only lost some credits.

Just giving info.

See point 4.

I thought that "planets with ammonia atmospheres" means... well, planets with ammonia atmospheres. I scanned several of them (including ones on previously undiscovered systems), then went to the Angus Manwaring station and reported to universal cartographics and... nothing. 0 reports. (This isn't even a question of there being a delay in the count, as it's the same the next day too.)

Always read the fine print:
Only ammonia world data will be recognised for the purpose of the survey campaign
