An apology to FD - old explorer mechanic IS still there!

I have played a little over 1500 hours in ED and I definetly did not choose to ignore the lore. If you can't give an example of the vast "lore" that justifies that nonsense then I really think you are making things up.
I have given you examples. Here are some; the whole of the galnet series, everything in your codex, every bit of mission text, the background on the factions, powers, tech brokers and engineers etc.

As to justifiing nonsense, I do not know what you are talking about. Maybe you should stop posting nonsense and I may understand what you are talking about.

Those are not examples of particular lore that proves your point, that's as obtuse as telling somebody to google whatever nonsense they said!

Now I'm sure this is you making stuff up considering how far you have gone to evade actual evidence.

What point am I trying to prove?

And you replied

I can't believe you don't even remember what you ramble about.

And. What has that got to do with anything. I was saying that lore has nothing to do with it. I don't need lore reasons, it's a mechanics issue regarding the ADS and FSS. Its a mechanics issue which lore won't be able to fix.

I think you are confusing real life physics and the lore of ED. They are not the same thing. The lore of ED is that you can get a hyperdrive boost from scooping from neutron stars. Nothing else needs to be said.

And it was irrelavent.

But they are not. The whole idea of the FSS is to find what is there. If you have already found it with the ADS what is the point in finding it again in the FSS. There is no different abstract layer.

Yes they do as has been explained a plethora of times.

AGAIN. WHY DO I NEED TO FIND WHAT IS THERE IN THE FSS WHEN THE ADS HAS ALREADY FOUND IT?

The FSS fills out the system map and so does the FSS.
AGAIN. WHY DO I NEED TO FIND WHAT IS THERE IN THE FSS WHEN THE ADS HAS ALREADY FOUND IT?

Why do I need to do the finding in the FSS of the celestial objects when the ADS and nav computer already knows their precise locations. Why can't you see the massive logic flaw there.

I never said any of this made sense, I simply told you that it makes as much sense as the rest of the game.

Make up your own mind.
I have. Read what I write and you may understand.

Sure there is plenty of stuff that doesn't make sense, but that isn't the issue. What is the issue is the having the ADS back would make the search for planets/moons in the FSS feel stupid because you have already found them. I don't care about stuff that doesn't make sense as long as it doesn't effect other mechanics.

Hyperdrive doesn't make sense, but it doesn't destroy other mechanics and the reason why they are there. Refuelling at a Nuetron star doesn't either, but it is not forced on you (I have only done it once) and it doesn't ruin any other gameplay mechanics, the same goes to the BGS and Powerplay, neither of those have any serious effect on each other.

Do you not understand the basic concept I am trying to tell you.

The only person rambling is you, coming up with examples that have utterly no bearing on what I am saying and are completely irrelevant.

I want the honk to reveal all in the system map - just the pictures of the bodies (and "unknown" in nav panel) then, if I absolutely want to suffer the awful, tedious, 'gameplay' that is the FSS, I can do so or I just can fly to anything that looks interesting.
If that happens I could probably stomach continuing with my exploration trip. As it is, I really can't bring myself to do so.

I feel stupid searching for iron on planet surfaces while not being able to purchase or sell it in the commodities market.

Nothing is "forced" upon you in the game.

I do, and it's nonsensical.

Is that you playing as a clairvoyant or do you have a source for that?

Because Frontier have not acknowledged that it is an issue? Because the FSS mechanic is brand new and they are not going to want to have wasted the development effort? Because there are about 5 people (incessantly) whining about the FSS mechanic being inferior to the ADS?

Take your pick; they all probably equally apply.

Irrelevant

Nothing is "forced" upon you in the game.
To use the FSS I have to honk (use the ADS) if they were both in the game. I would have no choice unless I decided not to go exploring. That is a game killer for me.

I do, and it's nonsensical.
You do not, which is obvious from your first sentence.
