Or less succinctly: comparing ready-to-eat apples to the-plantation-soil-has-yet-to-determined orange-seedsReally comparing ED and SC is like comparing apples and oranges.
I can't wait until Star Citizen adds:
But tbh I don't understand features/content development.
- VR support
- a fully-working flight model
- server meshing (not 50-player capped servers)
- player ship refueling
- player ship repair
- stable physics
- faction warfare
- faction reputation
- a few dozen star systems to explore
- aliens to battle/research/trade
- aliens structures to explore
- scientific mysteries
- lore-filled wrecks and bases
- dynamic economy
- crafting
- equipment modification
- guild mechanics
- functional tutorials
- functional NPCs with AI
- black holes
- orbital mechanics
- fleet carriers
- sharable discoveries
- and full MMO persistence.
You go back to relying on folks like me to lend you all the nice(er) ships ...Or join an org, something like that.Right now in SC you get to fly all the great ships for free/rent to help them iron out the designs. What happens when the game drops and you have to go back to the starter ship you bought for like $50.

X4 is quite goodDo the x-games count as well?
Honest question as I've not played them for a few years.
Not so fast brother: First there needs to be a roadmap for a roadmap to re-invent orange seeds.Or less succinctly: comparing ready-to-eat apples to the-plantation-soil-has-yet-to-determined orange-seeds
"Brought to you by the man who used to work somewhat-adjacent to The Man From Del Monte, pledge now for pictures of the best damn oranges ever, to be grown from refactored seeds using never-been-done-before gene-sumption technology."Not so fast brother: First there needs to be a roadmap for a roadmap to re-invent orange seeds.
the two most popular space flight sims
Thats getting a bit old now, about 5 years too old, wait until it comes out and then say it is going to kill ED, not sure why both cant coexist but hey ho.Don't get me wrong. I love ED and I think it's a great space sim but its only saving grace is the fact that SC will never see the light of day. If SC was released today, I foresee ED player base to shrink to a size of an English green pea
but until then I'm calling it a Ponzi Scam.
