You're asking why I, the Overlord of Eravate, would want as many people as possible to know about my reign of terror? Because my power derives from others fearing me; the more people that fear me, the more my power grows.
Why do politicians campaign and advertise themselves? Couldn't they humbley stay at home, and not mention their aspirations of power to anyone, in order to avoid "blowing their own horn"? They could do that. And they would never acquire any power if they did.
I'm just entertained that you took the time out of your day to brag about the fact that you would never "blow your own horn"...except that you did in that very sentence, brag about your humility.

No, I just stopped submitting to ship destruction because I didn't need any more documented deaths to make my case. There are enough videos of my ship blowing up out there now to refute the false "Zarek combat logs" allegations I used to get all the time.

I seriously had no idea who this was when I clicked, I was expecting Harry Potter, someone else from SDC I'd heard of, hell, even Nightshady folks have heard of. Never heard of this guy. And I hope my brain forgets him again pretty soon so the next time he does some blatant self-promotion I again go 'Who?'

PS. In the interests of fairness, I did actually google him to see if here was someone just outside of my general knowledge of bad boys, but... apparently other than this article and a few reddit posts about combat logging and killing noobs (and his youtube channel), not a lot.

That was my thought too.
I actually have nothing to do with the player group. By recruiting I meant for my own personal crew. People you can call in a fight and you know will come. Even if the noobs can't fly the pips still help. And they have fun.
Since the name causes confusion I will clear it up. For games I have pretty much always used some variation of "Mobius" It used to be "Solidus" but since the Phantom Pain came out I felt compelled to change it to Punished.
Both names are references to Imitations. Solidus and Venom/Punished are both in a way pretending to be something they are not though they truly believe themselves to be that person. They believe themselves to be the real "Big Boss" the real "Snake" So in that sense I believe myself to be the real Mobius when in reality I am just a meme.
