An open letter poll petition thingy to FD - Free the Cobra Mk 4

I'm eligible to own a Cobra MkIV but I never have and most likely never will.

Whats more everyone, regardless of their platform or when they purchased Horizons can all enjoy the same experience of not owning a Cobra MkIV as well. I don't see what the problem is.

Seriously though, it is, in most peoples opinion, a naff ship (although I must admit no personal experience here) and the only reason people are clamoring to have one is because they can't.

To me this is more about FD sticking to their word than denying people the option to own a deeply mediocre ship. Yes, in game development things change and promises cant always be kept despite the best of intentions. But this isn't a game development issue it's a business decision and going back on that to please a few people shouting "NOT FAIR!!!", would irk me.

As a small, cheap, ship with the largest number of internal slots, it is, objectively, the "best" ship in the game for a couple of things, such as moving Thargoid items around and collecting Thargoid tissue samples.

Well, 2 things there...

Firstly, you can disagree as much as you like but the facts are the facts.
The CM4 has more compartments than any ship under around Cr20m, which makes it the most cost-effective ship for the activities I mentioned.
That isn't opinion. It's objective fact.

Secondly, it's impossible to ascribe your own reasons why people like a thing over the reasons those people, themselves, have provided - unless you can provide evidence to debunk the reasons those people have provided.

That kind of thing is just silly.

Well, its been an interesting read. And hope its given FD food for thought, but at 31 pages we are going round in cricles, so as predicted by jasonbarron, its time to ask the mods to lock this.
