An option for feathers ?...

Normally I would agree with those that say "No Feathers, Get Over It."

But, then I recalled that one of their Tech Tree contractors, Dr. Kajal Dua of the Science Division,
is said to strive to clone natural (AKA "Scientifically Accurate") Dinosaurs if you follow her path 100%.

This makes me wonder if this will result in Feathered variants of cloned Dinosaurs
(or, at the very least, those quill-like proto-feathers like the JP3 Raptors had) if you do as she tells you.

I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud here.

Exactly, and there was a great conversation in the first book between Wu and Hammond about upgrading and changing their dinosaurs, so I don’t see why we can’t upgrade to feathers at some stage in the game. Making changes to the geneome is already established JP cannon, even if feather arent

Yes, I remember. As I recall, Wu wanted to make the Dinosaurs more accurate, while Hammond thought they were fine as they were.

The same conversation was later retooled in Jurassic World, where Dr. Wu makes clear
that "nothing in Jurassic World is natural", and they have always created modified hybrids since the beginning.

Which in my opinion, makes the whole "Accuracy" argument a moot one,
when we already know that these cloned dinosaurs have altered DNA.

Actual exchange was a bit different. Hammond wanted authentic, scientifically accurate dinosaurs, Wu wanted to modify them to be more docile to fit the public perception of big lizards =
"The dinosaurs we have now are real," Wu said, pointing to the screens around the room, "but in certain ways they are unsatisfactory, Unconvincing. I could make them better."
"Better in what way?"
"For one thing, they move too fast," Henry Wu said. "People aren't accustomed to seeing large animals that are so quick. I'm afraid visitors will think the dinosaurs look speeded up, like film running too fast."
"But, Henry, these are real dinosaurs. You said so yourself."
"I know," Wu said. "But we could easily breed slower, more domesticated dinosaurs."
"Domesticated dinosaurs?" Hammond snorted. "Nobody wants domesticated dinosaurs, Henry. They want the real thing."
"But that's my point," Wu said. "I don't think they do. They want to see their expectation, which is quite different."

I'm looking forward to this game regardless of feathering (already preordered). However those who claim that licencing requirements and canonicity issues in an official JW product prevent Frontier from adding feathers have obviously never played Jurassic World: the Game or Jurassic Park Builder by Ludia.
