An option for feathers ?...

Sucho and Metria don't have a JP look, but please, for people who follow this thread, just ignore us, as this there will be no problem for everyone

I will start some fan concepts for some potential feathered versions, I will try to create these versions when a new dino will be show the friday. If you're not ok with ... I just don't care
I already mad the first one, Triceratops :

There are more than 4 people that want no feathers on the dinosaurs. Just because you and maybe 2 more want it doesn't mean we do. There are more than just theses forums you know. Every dinosaur that they have shown us has the JP or extended universe look to them. I think it is silly to want creatured that look nothing like source they are based off of (JP lore). I never once insulted you. I explained why feathered dinosaurs don't belong in this game. I'll say it again. If you want feathers play different game.

For everyone, their own play style. Do not tell us what to want.

It can be solved by purchasing an extra license to avoid feathers in the game. ( or maybe the other way around, does not really matter if the currency is virtual ).

, people! How hard is it to get that some people DO want to get feathers? Deal with it. We know we can't MAKE Frontier do what we want, but we can tell them what we'd like to see. And unless I'm horribly mistaken, JP3 featured FEATHERD Raptors.

And I reiterate, we'd like an OPTION so as to not force it on others. What I read is that some people want to restrict our choice. Please don't, we don't do it either. I get Frontier said no, does that mean we cannot express our dismay?

There is no direct evidence for Tyrannosaurus rex having had feathers. Just because a limited number of coelurosaurs had feathers means nothing. Woolly Mammoths had thick fur but most other Elephant species did/do not

One side wants feathers for accuracy. That's fine.

The other side doesn't want feathers to maintain the image of Jurassic Park. That is also fine.

Please, can't we just leave it at that? e.e

Side note: I like the idea of having a specific dinosaur with feathers. Sponges suggested Utahraptor. I would have loved for Deinonychus to have feathers instead of a comb.

So you would rather have frontier waste time and resources to have an OPTION that is against the franchise? So instead of getting 10-15 new dinosaurs possible you would rather see the make Re skins of it? That is the most idiotic thing I have heard of yet. Yes you want feathers, you are not going to get them so why not play a game get includes what you want?

I already mad the first one, Triceratops :
Triceratops has no proof of ever having feathers, now you are either trolling or trying to hard,

Was there any evidence that Triceratops was a feathered dinosaur?

So to all you people that seem to need feathered dinosaurs to enjoy the game, what happens if (hahaha as if) they actually did put them in, I guarantee that you wouldn't be happy because they are not portrayed EXACTLY as you see them. We have no idea what the feathers would have looked like on a dinosaur,we have no idea about any of it, so do you want them just to add them to make them look like Giant Chickens, because if is impossible to have scientifically accurate dinosaurs with feathers since we have never seen one.

No, I asked one of my good friends who is a well known paleontologist in this area and he laughed when I asked if they would have had feathers. This guy is just trying to make a point that ALL dinosaurs had feathers.

They have already made multiple reskins for all the dinos, so 1 more for 1 or 2 dinos won't hurt that much, and like someone else already mentioned, they can be added later. And next time, please read everything, because I have already said before: JP3 HAS FEATHERED DINOS!!! So its not against the franchise.

To be more precise, JP3 male Velociraptors have dorsal quills on their head.

I feel the need to say that it is now canonical that the dinosaurs are not feathered due to the genetic modifying preventing them to have feathers as they naturally do. It's Universal's explanation for why we don't see feathered dinosaurs, to put it simply.

A few quills on their head are not feathers, it was a poor aesthetic look to please people and it backfired. Making a few different colors on a T Rex is is 100% different than adding something that requires a ton of extra work. That is comparing apples and oranges.

You guys do know you can just ignore this thread right? Just go up there it says thread tools and click on it. Then go down the little window and click on ignore thread. I have it on my ignore list cause I am sick and tired seeing this nonsense at the top of the thread list. Though it still appears off to the side on the sub forums page as ignored thread, which is hilarious. I have only one thread on ignore and I know what it is.

Please stop posting in this thread guys. Just let it die. There will never be any feathers in the game and as you can see these people are completely unreasonable. They either don't understand or they refuse to understand. I think it's that they refuse to.

Just stop posting and let it die. You say you are sick of seeing this thread and want it locked. The mods will not do this. So put it on ignore and stop posting in it. If they don't get any responses they will go away. One of them doesn't even plan to play the game and cancelled his preorder.

I don't pre-order on principle. At any rate, besides that I would have loved to see feathers, the main reason for me to participate in this thread is out of principle against unreasonable arguments (a la "it's not the way it is 'cause it isn't") coming from the Anti-Movement. This all started out as a simple discussion about feathers, and it escalated badly.

PS. I considder those quills as proto-feathers, and unless they ret-con it, it might just as well be canon and added to the game as such. Too bad Frontier said no.

So people continue to become meaner here, even if it's no well said, PCMR4Life get the thing, if you don't want to see this post, you can just ignore it, me I will continue my fan concept
A few quills on their head are not feathers
Jack Horner said they are feathers, so deal with it

And for the concept, I made them as if this will be a genetical option, no a accurate dinosaur creator, otherwise I will need to modifie the entire model of almost 100% of the dinosaurs just because of the pronation for example, even if I try to do the most accurate feathers look for all of them, like the pstitacosaurus feathers-quills like on the Triceratops or the patchy protofeathers on the Ceratosaurus

and if Jurassic Park franchise and Universal Licences are against feathers, why Jurassic World : the Game and Jurassic World : Alive show some feathered dinosaurs, almost all Coelurosaurians on these game have feathers, there only the few species which are appear in the movie which don't have feathers, and it's normal, all others have feathers, I know they are not the best feathered dinosaur created, but at least them tried to do something, so if this game can make the same effort that the mobile game, that would be great ;)

And finally, this is the feathered concept of the Ankylosaurus, and it look cool like that !
