Ingame comms are woeful and I recommend avoiding them. Quiet as all hell, lossy and no echo cancellation. Designed for everyone to be wearing top of the line headsets.
Update: Shongastyak has also dropped out of Civil War Critical, perhaps on the same cycle as Wangal. The upside is it has also dropped out of Boom, so... if we can do something that, I dunno, increases their influence without increasing their economic success, maybe we could trigger Civil War again? I mean, SUI is already at 59%, Crimson Society has system control and is at 40%, so it should trigger automatically? Gee, it would be helpful if there were some damned centralised publicised information on the mechanic.
Another update: My goodness Frontier, this is a little forward don't you think? Islam works?

Are you sure Shong has dropped out? There is a bug where if you look at a faction with no state pending then go back to a faction with something pending it vanishes. However the 'pending' box on the UI is still there.
And is WEP fully out of Boom and no longer listed as such on the system map?

I am happy to report that I have returned from my Diplomatic endeavors, trying to plant the seed of the Empire across the galaxy even in Third World Systems. I am back at Reed Port and trying to recover from the effects of cryosleep, as I did not feel like flying the ship 2579 LY would be fun, and I shipped myself in an Orca shuttle.
Over the next couple of days, I shall return to the front lines with you. I know you missed me.

I'm finally back from my trip, I'll see you over the next couple of nights and once I catch up on work I'll start working on our own site. I am jetlagged as hell, and 2 kids at home does not bode well for a swift recovery.

How much are you making per run in one of those?
Only used it one night for a couple of hours and raked in nearly 1.5 million. I'll look into better trade routes tonight though.

Yeah - I think it'll be a keeper for me, I'm still starting out and was left with next to nothing when I bought it and upgraded it. It's very monotonous work going back and forth but it's sure money in the kitty. This way I can just save up, get the Cobra, upgrade everything so it's top-shelf off the bat. That's my plan anyway - 10+ hours of pain.
Maybe that bug affected me. I flew into both Shong and Wangal, with Shong out of civil war critical and Wangal still in Boom. Then Damorgs looked and said Shong was still pending civil war. More confused than ever
Yep sounds like the bug, its been in at least since 1.1 and a bit annoying seeing as you have to exit to menu and come back in to be able to see pending states again.

Any of the 3 high tech systems two are HIP XXXXX and the other is Ixbakald, you can filter the map
