I love this game, it's so beautifully made, and I appreciate all the attention to detail with the animals; from the beautiful subtlety in the animation, to the inclusion of bachelor groups.
That said, there are some suggestions to add that I think would improve the game.
1) add a second male lion to a mixed sex group. It is not uncommon for brothers or pairs of male lions in the wild to team up and take over a pride together. It would be nice to be able to have more than one male in my pride, whether that's a pair of brothers or a handsome son that gets to stick around.
2) it would be really neat if the animals could interact with visitors, as they do in real zoos. As a former zoo volunteer, I got to see our hippo crowd-watch and decide whether he would put on a bit of a show with his toys if he liked the crowd, or take a long nap if he didn't. I got to see the snow leopards come right up to the glass early in the morning and paw at it to get the attention of visitors. I got to see the male giraffe practically pose for cameras. Most of the time zoo animals pointedly ignore visitors, that's true, but every now and then they take a special interest in what is going on outside their enclosures. Understandably, for some of these behaviors it might be necessary to adjust the animal hitboxes to allow them to get closer to the barriers.
3) allow the jaguar to get enrichment from the blood scent marker. It's the only big cat that doesn't like it at the moment, and I wonder why that is?
4) add enrichment items for the large carnivores that's literally just a big plastic barrel. Big cats in zoos looove to chew and carry around big barrels and tires, for some reason. Would also be a fun enrichment item for the new jaguars and their incredibly powerful bites.
5) in mixed species exhibits, especially with animals of similar sizes, it would be really neat if there could be small interactions between species, whether that's two animals investigating each other, or one animal snapping or mock-lunging at another to clear their personal space bubble.
6) add water requirements for jaguars and Bengal tigers; both of these species in the wild in many parts of their range interact with water frequently, and the two are the champion swimmers of the big cats. Jaguars in particular are known for their ability to hunt caiman and turtles.
Thank you for making this lovely game! I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it these last few weeks, and I eagerly look forward to future updates and DLCs!
P.S. The skin weights on the female pronghorn's neck and belly are very rough and jagged compared to the male's, and there's a stray vert that likes to try to fly away on the tip of the anteater's nose. Not big issues but I figured if Frontier is going so far as to fix animation pops, they might want to know about these issues as well.
