Animals flee too often from battle, Frontier.

I've noticed that dinos flee about 4 to 5 times during a fight before actually finishing it. Not only gets tedious, but it also takes away the immersion, since these are supposed to be fights to the death.

I think a good way to fix it woud be to make these fights to oscilate between:

Two rounds (fleeing once) and One round (start to finish).

I belive these changes would help to sell the immersion way more and make dino encounters more intresting and dangerous without taking away from the current experience.

You guys keep making the game better and better every single update. Keep up the amazing work!!

you´re right! I think the fights could be more dynamic. They just walk in circle, bite and sometimes the finisher comes. I think they should tackle more each other, slaps each other on the ground, jump on each other, rangling with their bodies. I think Triceratops fights are good, but they have also just one animation. MORE dynamic fights please.

I tried to do a "photoshoot" of my T Rex, Spinosaurus, and Giganotosaurus on my "Main Street" guest area for the screenies thread. Suffice to say it never happened for the reasons outlined in this thread.

Animals not fighting to the death is more realistic how's that immersion breaking???
I think you misunderstood me. The way it is right now is: Two large carnivores fight, one of them flees from the battle, and then he's like "oh wait, I wanna fight again", so he looks for a fight and keep repeating this cycle until it eventually dies.

I also get your point, but what I'm considering "immersive" in this case is what we see in the Jurassic franchise. Take the Theri and Rexy on the final battle in Dominion, for exemple: These animals would most likely avoid each other, not team up to take out a Giga.

Those are three highly territorial dangerous animals that were forced into a small area with no where to run. We see what happens when they do have somewhere to run to, the T. rex just left.

Saying they should act like cartoons isn't really a good argument for immersion.

My argument is based on the animals we see in the movies and how they act during fights.
Look at Rex + Raptors VS Indominus or Spino VS Rex.

Also, things don't have to be realistic to be immersive.
The same way that, In order for you to be immersed in the Star Wars universe, you have do disconsider the fact that there is no sound in space. Pew pew.
