Animals that are in other games but not in Planet zoo?

There is a game that I played a lot that was Zoo tycoon 2. But since there is now Planet zoo, I only play with this game. In this thread I will write animals that there are in other games but not Planet zoo. The only game I know of is Zoo Tycoon 2 so here are the basic animals that are in Zoo Tycoon 2 but not in planet zoo and that I would like to have. If you know other animal games and there are no animals in the list, write them down?

1. Abyssinian wolf
2. Ibex
3. Markhor
4. Elk
5. Wolverine
6. Rockhopper penguin
7. California sea lion
8. Sea Otter
9. Green turtle
10. Addax
11. Dromedary
12. African furrowed turtle
13. Scimitar-horned Oryx
14. fennec
15. Prjewalski's horse
16. Ratel
17. Black rhinoceros
18. Caracal
19. White rhicoceros
20. Generuk from Somalia
21. Meerkat
22. Barbary ape
23. Bear with glasses
24. Spanish Lynx
25. Gibbon
26. Java Rhioceros
27. Morse
28. Muskox
29. Beaver
30. Nile crocodile

Cetaceans - Fishes - Birds that fly - Mammals that fly - Dinosaurs - not accepted

I wasn't able to get into Zoo Tycoon 2 the one time I tried it out, but I've been an avid player of the original Zoo Tycoon up until Planet Zoo entered my life. Here's what we're missing from that roster:
  1. Olive baboon
  2. Black rhinoceros
  3. Common (blue) wildebeest
  4. Leopard (and consequentially, the Black leopard which was treated as a separate species in this game but wouldn't be in Planet Zoo)
  5. Blackbuck
  6. Przewalski's wild horse
  7. (American) Black bear
  8. Moose
  9. Mexican gray wolf
  10. Japanese serow
  11. Javan rhinoceros
  12. Markhor
  13. Mountain lion
  14. Ibex
  15. American bighorn sheep
  16. Emperor penguin
  17. Dromedary camel
  18. California sea lion
  19. Pacific walrus
  20. Elephant seal
  21. Southern sea otter
In addition to your exclusion criteria, I also excluded cryptids, other extinct species, and the handful of non-fish/cetacean 100% underwater species (jellyfish, octopus, giant squid, manatee, and green sea turtle)

The list actually turned out a good bit longer than I expected. I wasn't sure whether to list the Asian black bear or not, but that's literally what our Formosan black bear is so I decided against it. A few other species, such as the Javan rhinoceros, Mexican gray wolf, and Emperor penguin, are at least in my eyes sufficiently similar enough to species in Planet Zoo that I wouldn't actually want to see them added to this game. Everything else here are among my most wanted additions to Planet Zoo because of how ingrained the Zoo Tycoon roster is into my brain. I think Planet Zoo has mostly far outdone this roster, but it's the big name stragglers that I keep fixating on (African rhino, leopard, baboon, markhor, mountain lion, sea lion, dromedary)

I know of only the first two Zoo Tycoon games myself... when it comes to those animals, these here are what we are missing. Please note, I'm very specific about the animals featured in the game, so I've included things on this list like the Giant Sable Antelope even though we have a generic Sable Antelope in Planet Zoo.

Zoo Tycoon:
American Bighorn Sheep (Ovis canadensis)
American Black Bear (Ursus americanus)
Blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra)
Eastern Lowland Gorilla (Gorilla beringei graueri)
Japanese Serow (Capricornis crispus)
Leopard (Panthera pardus)... also appears as "Black Leopard" in both...
Mexican Wolf (Canis lupus baileyi)
Mountain Lion (Puma concolor)
Northern Elephant Seal (Mirounga angustirostris)
Olive Baboon (Papio anubis)
Southern Sea Otter (Enhydra lutris nereis)

Zoo Tycoon 2:
Addax (Addax nasomaculatus)
African Spurred Tortoise (Centrochelys sulcata)
American Beaver (Castor canadensis)
Barbary Ape (Macaca sylvanus)
Caracal (Caracal caracal)
Crested Gibbon (Hylobates concolor)
Fennec Fox (Vulpes zerda)
Florida Panther (Puma concolor couguar)
Ethiopian Wolf (Canis simensis)
Gelada (Theropithecus gelada)
Gerenuk (Litocranius walleri)
Giant Sable Antelope (Hippotragus niger variani)
Masai Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis tippelskirchi)
Meerkat (Suricata suricatta)
Mountain Gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei)
Musk Ox (Ovibos moschatus)
Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus)
Ratel (Mellivora capensis)
Rockhopper Penguin (Eudyptes chrysocome)
Scimitar-Horned Oryx (Oryx dammah)
Sea Otter (Enhydra lutris)
Secretary Bird (Sagittarius serpentarius)
Spanish Lynx (Lynx pardinus)
Spectacled Bear (Tremarctos ornatus)
Striped Hyena (Hyaena hyaena)
White Rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum)
Wolverine (Gulo gulo)

Both:
Alpine Ibex (Capra ibex)
Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis)
Blue Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus)
California Sea Lion (Zalophus californianus)
Dromedary Camel (Camelus dromedarius)
Emperor Penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri)
Javan Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus)
Markhor (Capra falconeri)
Moose (Alces alces)
Pacific Walrus (Odobenus rosmarus divergens)
Przewalski's Wild Horse (Equus ferus przewalskii)

Don't you people count Zoo Tycoon 3??? LOL!
You mean the one Frontier made? Not really... I mean, it only had like 12 or so habitat animals, sure each featured a bunch of subspecies as reskins, but still... it's hard to imagine anyone demanding all those reskins. The rest of the animals were the equivalent of the exhibit animals... they just stood there and cycled through a simple animation... they were little more than a decoration really...

Lol, I was joking, it was the worst zoo game in the history of time, but it did had Fossa if I remember correctly, and a LOT of boring, annoying re-skins, hopefully Planet Zoo never ends up like that.

Really depends on what zoo game you were expecting.
Some people bought it and expected an updated ZT2. If you actually looked at the game, it was obvious they were going with another take of the zoo genre. Not every zoo game has to focus on building habitats. A lot of people make that mistake, just because they named it part 2 or 3 - doesn't mean it has the same focus.

A lot of people are asking for some features from ZT2013 for PZ, so there are some parts that people like. More interaction with the animals, zoo keeper mode (a mix from ZT2 and ZT2013)

But I agree, it's not a good game for a lot of people.
I bought it with a 70% discount for the kids and they loved the game. It's very easy and (only) appeals to the younger audience.
Graphics are pretty good but that's it. :D

it could have been much better if there was more variety and less copy-paste boring animals, I know some people crave for clones, but I'm not one of them, that easy-money-win things that are easy to create are not my cup-a-tea.

I'd like to have bats.

edit: O, flying mammals aren't accepted. What a pity.
I second this. I think they get forgotten a lot because of birds for aviaries generally being highly requested, and other mammal getting way more attention. But I don't believe I've ever been to a zoo that hasn't had at least one type of bat. I'm honestly not picky about what we would get, though I'd probably want a diurnal or crepuscular species like a fruit bat and at least one strictly nocturnal one. Nothing makes a nocturnal house quite like a bat habitat.

I hate bats. I understand why flying mammals are not accepted. This is because bats are responsible and guilty for the Covid-19 pandemic. I always hated bats because they look like demons.

Very demonic. Boo!

This is because bats are responsible and guilty for the Covid-19 pandemic.

I think that's not entirely true
The source was most likely a Pangolin, which already happens to be in the game.
But bats might have had a cause in the spreading.
(Besides that eating wild animals increases any chance of catching a (deadly) disease).

Edit: I live in the middle of a city in the Netherlands on the 4th floor, and there is no greater sight than flying bats in front of my window hunting those pesky musquitos at dusk.

It is the other way around. The first animal to carry Covid-19 was bats. Then bats passed on the virus to Chinese Pangolins. Humans came in contact with Chinese Pangolins in China, and that's how the Covid-19 pandemic began to spread from human to human.

So in the end it all happened because people eat Pangolins, which I won't express my thoughts about.
And the bats where just the original host, but if no Pangolin was ever eaten, we'd never had this issue, so who's fault is it in the end? The stupid human's fault.

You can't blame the bats for that.

But it's off-topic. So I'll stop here.

Bats are mainly responsible because they carry the Covid-19 virus in their blood but people are also responsible to eating animals which are unclean for human health. So, I would say that both are to blame in the end.
