Another solution to ganker problem

bUt PvE cOmBaT iS dIfFeReNt!

I mean, it really is, HazRes targets never get your shields down, especially not so in a wing.

So people (me included) spent hours upon hours there, chilling, blowing up NPCs and watching their bounties go up.
Obviously not in open though, because your efficient beams and thermal resistant bi-weave Corvette stinks against a plasma accelerator armed Vette with prismatics coming for you.
Dunno HazRes targets certainly get my shields down. Eventually.

I fly shieldless, so nobody gets my shields down ;)

And what benefit is there to committing a crime and subjecting yourself to this?

In old FE2/FFE, the trade-off was instead of paying 10k to clear your name on a mission which typically only paid about 12k leaving you with just 2k in the pocket, you could keep the full amount, but you'd never set foot in a stick owned by that superpower again.

Where is the benefit to be had in locking yourself out of one third of the inhabited docks? If all we're looking at is punitive measures without benefit, just remove the activity from the game.
And if you bought a hyperspace cloud analyser and had a ship built for speed, you could follow them after they left port, beat them to their destination, and merk 'em in deep space where there were no witnesses and keep the full pay with no bounty.

panopticon delenda est

In some ways FFE was better game, but well it did not need to have multiplayer compromises.

the problem i see is that the game doesn't offer any pvp activity and people who like to shoot get bored and looking for players to kill in cg. What I would do is put the BGS and the PP only open.

Well what I saw there would be pretty much legal PVP potential on CG's. Unless gankers block those players.

is that another thing that should be done is to remove the blocking tool. I understand that there are people who do not want to meet anyone and play alone and that is why the solo mode has to continue to exist. But what doesn't make sense is that those players can interact from the solo mode in the bgs and in the pp.
Besides, it should also be avoided that it was so easy to gank in high security systems.

I do agree that having some more meaningful uses for PvP skills would be good, and may well give 'bored gankers' something to fight each other over. I think it would need to be something exclusively affected by PvP though, not an existing mechanism (taking BGS or PP away from existing players in solo or group would be pretty bad for the community overall).

Solo mode is equal to other modes. Every commander can affect galaxy what ever mode. And it should be so.

anyone willing to pp or bgs should be prepared to deal with gankers

Because these are activities that could generate turf wars, transport escorts etc., and all of that breaks down if you have to fight ghosts that are in solo mode.
In ED reality no, there is not going to happen much. Even in Open you can evade blockades...just fly open capable ships and operate them accordingly.
