Anthem

So basically purchasing Anthem will be a complete waste of money...thats what I was afraid of.

The division 1 also had a shaky release but improved a lot over the years even tho the improvement speed was slow and often frustrating for an active placer. At least I bought a game that desered to be played even if it still had shortcomings, it turned out to be a good game eventually. As to your response thats probably not going to happen with Anthem. Shame.
They're going to put Anthem in shape, eventually. They are really trying and the new stuff for upcoming two months is promising. New weapon types were leaked, there'll be a new stronghold and that whole Cataclysm business sounds interesting. If they manage to broaden the loot pool enough and inject some proper end-game stuff into Freeplay, I'm going to be playing it to no end. Hell, I'm enjoying it as it is.

Unfocused development going nowhere, bad workplace environment, incompetent management, and a broken engine. That sounds like Star Citizen :D
You are right:
It’s a story of a video game that was in development for nearly seven years but didn’t enter production until the final 18 months, thanks to big narrative reboots, major design overhauls, and a leadership team said to be unable to provide a consistent vision and unwilling to listen to feedback.
It's like a carbon copy.

I love the industry standards these days: Release a buggy unfinish game at full price: Customer hopes the company with their money will bother to fix it. Sometimes you get a NMS and sometimes you get a ME: Andromeda.

It's gone very silent. I heard a new stronghold is about to release.
They should be releasing a content update this or next week (whenever they announce the Thursday livesream).
Also they apparently hired a new senior designers for loot mechanics and "reward mechanics" (whatever that means)
They teased new weapon types, too. I'm looking forward to what they're planning.

I want to like it but as said in the last thread. After ME -A Im not sure a about bioware and even less about EA.

It seems the actual result is a far cry from what Bioware tried to achieve and I doubt that even with time and resources the original plan (was there even one? I mean the "vision" from the hype trailers....) can be accomplished. But maybe Anthem will eventually become an "okay" game. Hoping for the best. I hate to have sucky games sitting in my library ^^
