Any compensation incoming for non-exploiters?

Lol - this thread is full of all the classics from exploiters justifying themselves - keep it up (y)
Sorry to dissappoint you, but I not into using 'these game mechanics'....not this particular one anyway, so NO, I'm not trying to justify how I want to play my game.

I don't really like slagging Frontier staff off, but over the last couple of years I think they've got lazy when it comes to bug fixing.
Unless something is really game breaking, we have to wait weeks even months between bug fixing.....I'm sure things weren't like this during the first 3 years - of course some bugs never got fixed at all.
Maybe it's all tied in with this maintainance mode period we've been in for two years.

How can you play this game for 6000 hours and still not have the money for a carrier, even if just accidentally? :)
My 10000 hours amassed me just under 2bil this time last year, so I went mining Painite in a double hotspot for two weeks. That work netted me 16 bil more credits.
Now if I'd gone into the game files & found my credit balance & altered it to 18bil........that, I would call an exploit!
Other's may not agree, but that's how I see it......I don't know how some of you guys play other games that allow Mods to be used:oops:

Not sure where you saw any mentions of exploits in my post, but I sure do love my modded games, although I tend to use only lore-friendly mods.

Agreed. I do love the game, but I do wish Frontier would start treating ED as a released title and not as an early access game.

No, it wasn't just your post I was responding to cmdr, I was using part of your post to highlight how quickly you can make credits IF YOU WANT TO. Why others think that when you do it's an exploit is beyond me.

I would have exploited the exploit until the number of credits I had would have been so exploitive that I could exploit the riches of those who exploited alongside me...

I just don't like mining much, an hour every month or so is fine... 🤷‍♂️
Concur. Mining bores me to tears, regardless of how much pretend digital money is thrown in my direction.
Only reason I mine is to get engineering done, and I'd skip it then too if possible.

Imagine the bonus I'm entitled to for not logging in since DW2 Jump #2.
Proof I haven't exploited imaginary money that doesn't affect anyone else's gameplay.

That the sheer idea of getting compensation for not doing something in the game can enter your mental lexicon is just stunning to me. This board, man. This board. I should show this place to some of my other gaming friends so they can get a peek into bizarro world.

Hi guys, new...ish player here.

Just remove the 'eggsploit' and get this carrier menace sorted.

I generally avoid mining unless it's within my current plans and when I do mine it's in the first place I can find that doesn't involve travelling for 14 years. Same with offloading.

My Krait II (Millennium Pigeon) is more than enough ship for my purposes plus buying a new ship means suffering engineering grind again.

I'm a very bad capitalist as I see about 60 tons of LTDs every week or two as sufficient income alongside other revenue.

500 MILLION AN HOUR!!!!onetwo1111

Yeah balls to that.

To circle back to a semblance of on topic, no compensation or even punitive measures to those filthy capitalist dogs. Fix it, get these carriers out of my face and I'll be a content camper.

I owuld still go for exploit.

An exploit is using a mechanic to produce an unintended behaviour. Some of the debate in this thread is whether the current behaviour is intended or whether the last patch failed to address all the problem.

Modifying a value, whether in a file, memory or network packet is cheating, as it is using mechanisms outside of the game mechanics to product in game results.

Oh man, imagine the bonus you will receive. You'll be able to buy pretty much 2 FC's, and still have the credits to upkeep them for a decade.

Wait a minute, that's an exploit right there. Why.... you... absent exploiter, trying to trick FDEVS.

Try it without mining and you'll see ;)
I too have around 6000 hrs of play time and, although I have achieved all the major milestones of the game and gotten all my favorite ships engineered, I still "only" have 1.1 bil in the bank. An amount mind you that was more than you would ever need, until they introduced the FCs at that ridiculous prices, as a money sink (imho) for the obsurd wealth generated by the "rahauled" mining...
1 to 4 bil was what what the older, weathier and grindier players had at the time just before FDev decided to go over the top to "promote" the new revised mining. At that very moment the moto "blaze your own path" lost its meaning....
