Any News on Broken horizons for accounts on PS4

After a tense couple of days without Horizons, I was compelled to join the forum for the first time. Over 2 years problem free (relatively) of playing on the PS4 Legendary Ed disc. Nearly lost my sh*t with this after having the Odyssey disappointment. Tried all that was suggested and logged and only now I am able to continue my half engineering on my ship at Sirius. Hoping that this reprieve isn't going to see-saw throughout the upgrading Odyssey for the PCs release.

Hello Commanders for the first time and hopefully Fdevs have short circuited the Horizons launcher bug. Thank you Fdev for your action, long may it be fixed as after 2 yrs worth of time I'm not sure I can just pootle through the black after losing the landing on planets, etc...

This worked for me and quite a few others (do a restart after). Granted it is the only account I have on my PS4 (no alts) but try it anyway, you never know it might work for you. All the best Cmdrs.
 
Can we check if :

( main account refers to the account used to purchase ED / account used to redeem the horizon add-on [before horizon was given free] )

#1. You only have one ED account and this same account was used to purchase the game. This account either has no problem or after restoring licenses, it works (true/false) ?

#2. You have an alt account. The alt account did not work but the main account did work either before or after restoring licenses (true/false) ?

*a quick way to check without landing on a planet, is via the Navigation Tab filter having the Landfall planets/moons and Settlements options (works) or missing these 2 options (cannot land).

My personal observation :
#1 True

For me:
#1: False. Restoring licenses did nothing.
#2: N/A. No alt account on any platform.

I simply waited a while and a few hours later it was working again. Rebooting the PS4 and restoring licenses did not affect anything.

You can tell it's not a license issue, because if it was, the Engineer tab would be greyed out in the internal main tab. It's just certain features related to SLFs and planetary landings and livery that are affected. That is more granular than Horizons itself no longer confirming the license.

I think this may have to do with the stuff they're doing in alpha testing for Odyssey having some sort of effect on the server.
 
while i did experience the comeback of the planet landings and such i can no longer sell the modules to a station or store them. i can only replace with something bought from a station.
 
That's a new one. I transfered a bunch to Ray Gateway tonight just fine.
Well - it sounds it's not yet over...
The funny thing about all of that is that the great feature of Horizons stuff being made free for everybody turns currently out to be taken away from many unintentionally. Backfiring on the highly appreciated move.

This all cries for even more solid testing of Odyssey features before it's going to be launched.
Suddenly the idea of procrastinating Odyssey launch on console sounds much more compelling...

Sounds like your storage is full.
check you haven't already hit your 120 module limit.

Post related - I was able to land on a planet last night 21:00 - 00:00 so it appeared to be working for me
 
Does anyone know if the problem has even been recognized or acknowledged by Frontier yet?
Yep, last night got the "Need Horizons" meassage to be able to land which sucks due to me being only 11 000 Ly´rs from Beagle Point...
Seems my 7 day effort to get there will be for nothing if I can´t land :(

As far as I know, FD are confirming the issue on the issue tracker, not expecting much response from them ...

Well I got a message back from my support ticket saying "They are aware of the issue, looking into it but can give no timeframe of fixing it." So at least there is that much recognition of the issue.
Horizons seems to be working again for me, at least my main(purchase) account(for now)
 
I re download the source codes and so far I can land on planets again fingers crossed , might be an idea to try folks oh I'm on ps5

I'm a systems engineer in real life. Requirements and Verification & Validation (VNV) of same is kind of our thing.

You have just validated years of professional headaches.

FINALLY someone gets it 😉.
