Anyone else just marking time until 3.0 drops?

I couldn't wait for to long anymore so I left Abraham Lincoln and put myself in orbit around Earth, the days go by a lot faster now [noob]

I wouldn't call it a break but I've slowed way down. I took care of a few engineers I was close to unlocking and now I'm working on trying to get a 5A shield for the Cutter. I've been thinking of putting a little more time into Fallout VR and maybe trying that Alien Isolation VR mod. I'm ready for 3.0 to be here.

Sod that! It was harrowing enough in 2D. Have you played Lone Echo? I haven’t yet, but I was impressed with how natural locomotion felt in Echo Arena – zero-gravity is the perfect context for VR (cough, cough...Fdev...).

I'm anticipating I'll be waiting for a while *after* 3.0 before potentially seeing a change to the combat XP loss problem that currently has me playing other games instead.

I haven't played properly for months.

Mainly because I got XCOM2, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and Watchdogs... And bored. lol

Not even sure what to do in game anymore. This forum tends to have more entertainment value. :p

Christ... That came off salty...!
XCOM RULES!!

I joined the party kinda late though as i bought the first game last year and i just bought xcom enemy within today for $9 bucks!!
I CANT WAIT TO START A NEW CAMPAIGN!

I'm just making my (slow) way back from Sag A*. I'm hoping the new version drops soon, in which case, I'll take some time to enjoy the non-beige planets.

Yup. Patiently awaiting the release of Chapter One. I am hoping the fact that we don't even have a release date yet means it might go live suddenly without the usual two-three week wait from beta to release. It's a pipe dream, I know. But it helps. :)

As for me, I shelved Elite since the beta ended. I just can't go back to those beige planets after seeing the new planetary colors. It is good to take a break from the game as it will make it all the more enjoyable to dive back in after a forced pause. Right now, I am passing the time by enjoying some apocalyptic gaming: Stalker: Call of Pripyat, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4. Darn those "Annihilation" trailers!

Nothing, except;

I'm still adding CR to my Thargoid war chest,

finished g5 mods to my FGS,

accumulated all sorts of 4 and 5 level mats,

brought my SLF pilot to Dangerous,

added to the BGS directives from my wing,

recruited a fellow player to our wing,

participated w/ my SLF in a canyon race.

It's been slow.

PS:

I will be buying Imperial Hammers in a week, forgot this one.

Did some work on my gunship last night, made some credits, found a nice spot for stacking data missions and got the last 20% I needed for Post Captain, should be able to buy a corvette soon. In other words, I'm carrying on as normal.

Other than prepping some ships with Grade 5 mods to save time in anticipation of the new engineering system, I'm not doing much of anything in the game right now.

More time to play PUBG.

I too am just waiting for the beta to go live, all my 8 ships have grade 5 engineered ships, so hopefully I won't need to access the new engineers for a long time. I even have all the grade 5 mods ready and waiting for the Alliance Chieftain which I'm really looking forward to flying.

I am Admiral and King, Trade Elite, Combat Deadly and Explorer Ranger, I have about 500 Million credits, so progressing slowly to get all three Elites, but I'm in no hurry to do that, so very little to do until they release 3.0.

I lost my Ironman commander a few days ago, the new one's sitting at Trevithick Dock waiting for 3.0 to drop.
My secondary is just flying about as normal.

In anticipation of all the improvements coming, the game kinda feels... inadequate. So I'm just lingering about, waiting for powerplay ticks to pass and do the occasional hauling mission for a million or two to keep my credits up.

Sort of. I did some of the Guardians mission for the first time, in case it goes away when Ram Tah finishes whatever he's up to. And I'll do any relevant CGs for the easy cash. But it's difficult to do anything too deep at the moment. Engineering feels like a waste of time when the new system is just around the corner (I'm not one of those who subscribes to the idea that the current system is so much better that it needs a massive pre-3.0 grind).

I've built myself a T9 mining rig that's fairly efficient from a time/profit perspective, but I know from beta how much better it's going to be with the new interface so I'm finding it hard to do any mining either.

And my usual pre-launch fallback -- switching to my second account and pressing on with exploration -- also seems as though it might be less rewarding without the new prettier planets.

This is the first update in a while that feels to me as though most aspects of the game that I play are going to get a marginal improvement. And since beta ended I'm missing Victor too.

That’s the pre-patch lull kicking in.

I feel it every time a new patch comes out. Suddenly everything I normally do in-game feels temporarily boring and meaningless because minor changes to said activities are just around the corner.

It’s an interesting phenomenon, similar to how kids immediately get bored with their existing toys as soon as they see a commercial for a newer one.

No, I've (we've) been incredibly busy preparing our system for war. Plus many of us have been engineering modules ready for the Chieftain, and I've been hammering the CompNavs for triple Elite before 3.0 drops. Current 79% Deadly.
Playing every day, as always.

Marking time? Haven't log in for quite some time. Mostly due to lack of said time. ED isn't a game which you can hop in for a 15 minutes, do some stuff and leave. Tried that and 15 minutes is exactly enough to make a single run. Totally unsatisfactory. So for now I enjoy Warframe, not my type of game but surprisingly addictive. Something of a distraction while waiting for a 3.0.

And speaking of waiting for 3.0

yeah, somewhat marking time for 3.0, but also just watching the Thargoids work their way down the Aegis Line, powerless to do anything about it, and contemplating what comes next.
