Anyone else think this is going to be a monumental let down?

• I agree with the Op that the building are limited because they are limited to the Jurrassic Park movie and they aren't allowed to add anything that the Jurrassic world does not have.
• Look at Frost punk a new indie game that came out and its resource tree is far more bigger then the ones for Jurrassic park game.
• I heard that there will be a sanbox island so you can build but the building are limited so it would feel very boring.
• I think players who say is limited need to look at Cities skyline the best building sim out there, so many buildings and customization that is what we would like to see in this game but its not going to be building game. Just a game where you get the feel of that Jurassic park feeling.
• The game was not design to go built you dino park of your dreams.
• So I will have to see if players get bored once they have gone through all the different sectors cause once you done everything, see everything what else can you do? Its like with Frost punk after all the missions there is not much to do any more.

• There is prehistoric Kingdom and that shows more potential of what you can do for your park! This is what should have happen to this game I wonder why the developer did not do this?

• Have a read on all the features this is what we are complaining about that the game should have which they don't. A park you can fully customize and with so much more things to do.

You are forgetting that PK is not on a time limit, JPE had 18 months from start to release. For a game this size that is no time a all. They need about double that time to make it perfect. As well we have no idea what PK will actually have upon release(if it ever does) because t tcould end up like No mans sky.

But why bother posting if you have no plan on buying the game? I do not even understand that logic. Why waste your time when you are clearly have stated numerous times that you are not buying the game and that you are not happy.

Right, time to go through my original complaints list.



Only 30 dinosaurs I was wrong, and already apologized for that.

Half the island map restricted Unsure. So far it does seem we are limited on the islands we've seen, but haven't seen Sorna's or Nublar's map yet.

No cosmetics for the park Confirmed. I was right. Legit complaint.

Only one ride Confirmed. Only Gyrosphere. 2 if you included monorail, which I don't because that's transport rather than a ride. Legit complaint.

Limited terrain tools Confirmed.

Few buildings No extra buildings confirmed but, in hindsight the selection isn't too bad. Ideally I'd like a few extra like a 4D cinema, a museum, another type of hotel (budget one or lodge). So, not a huge issue but still, I was right.

Bad hunting behaviour At the time it was an issue, but Frontier seem to have fixed it. So I wasn't wrong so no apology. But a thank you for fixing it.

Guests look awful See above. Issue at the time but seems to have been fixed. Not perfect but better than before.

Jeep can't be attacked I was correct, still a problem.

Limited management (hiring staff, advertising, changing ticket prices etc) Unknown.

Some Dinosaurs too big In hindsight a bit nitpicky because the Cerato is same as JP3 Cerato. But, the Spino is too small which levels it out.

Only one character from the movies I was wrong here. Sorry, Frontier.

Everybody's park is going to look identical because lack of customisation. I'm correct on this one.


So, out of my original 13 complaints. I was wrong about 2. 2 have been fixed but were legit concerns at the time. 1 is half-and-half. 2 still unconfirmed (but both starting to appear that I was right).

Now, I could add to this fresh concerns ... but I think I've covered those elsewhere.

Actually you´ve spoken about one of my worries, that I didn´t mention on the forum yet. My Impression based on the gameplay videos, that the game will be too easy (Perhaps another compromise for having younger players for the game I could imagine). The only real difficulty I see at this point are the illnesses. I remember one video on that dawn-time island ... If I remember correctly the animals became sick very quickly and in a huge number of animals. Like in Jpog, which is a feature I honestly do not enjoy especially without the simple option to simply click a button "medicate all memembers of the species" like in Jpog. What I want to say is I think it´s the wrong balance of difficulty here. The Maingame seem to be toooo easy and the only "Real" threat I´ve seen so far is more annoying than challenging

True thing. This game was never designed for adults. But the whole JP franchise is at least for 12+, which would include a simple form violence. In JWE I am afraid we´ll get an rating of perhaps for 6+ ... just because the violence in the game is on a minimum.

Thays a good way to.look at it we have no idea the demographic. I know it is a tie in with the movie so it might be aimed for younger audiences

Right now, we can actually see that there are 5 characters from the movies. You can get a glimpse of Mr. DNA in one of the gameplay videos. Also we have Ian Malcolm, Doctor Wu, Claire Dearing, and Owen Grady. 37 (42 with Deluxe) dinosaurs, so that is quite a bit more than JPOG. I honestly have no complaints for this game. It's probably going to be my second or first favorite game. (Civilization VI and Jurassic World: Evolution)
