Apart from the novelty of being one of very few who have bothered to go there...no...there really is nothing out there which is unique to that area that I ever found. Not familiar with that particular region, but apart from the names and the immediate scenery, theres really not that much difference tbh ^
Aren't you supposed to run into the Galactic Barrier, absorb Q, and gain godlike powers so Shatner has to kill you?

Well, a real explorer would not ask this kind of questions. He or she will just go exploring...
Anyways... I have reach the Crab Nebula:
I think it is Barnard's Loop in the distance.
Next stop is The Monkey Head Nebula. It is only 1100 LY from here.

You could look for alien ruins and any chance of a human settlement. Good luck on that i would self destruct if i was that far. lol
1800LY is just a Sunday afternoon stroll.
Though now I've slowed right down, set for economical route plotting, and am just bumbling around the Neutron Star fields just seeing what there is to see.
NS systems are really interesting to me, especially with twin NS and ELWs in the same system. "Fascinating!" as Spock would say.
That's actually a good question. I did not look when I was at the edge.

I just wanna go home now, but not the direct way. I'll visit Rosette Nebula, Seagull Nebula, Barnard's Loop and California Nebula on my way.
