Anything to investigate out here

Hi,

As you can see on the galaxy map, I have reached the end of the galaxy - SCHADGEIA WP-E D 12-0 at -380 : 624 : -7700. Before heading home, I would like to know if there is something out here I should investigate?

At -7700 the Crab Nebula is fairly close to you, and easily visible at the bottom of the galaxy map. You can get quite a bit further out than -7700 though, with some effort and a good jump range.

Apart from the novelty of being one of very few who have bothered to go there...no...there really is nothing out there which is unique to that area that I ever found. Not familiar with that particular region, but apart from the names and the immediate scenery, theres really not that much difference tbh ^

I've been that far south on a trip once.
There's a small nebula (NGC 1491) around there somewhere.
Looking at your screenshot, roughly about 4000-5000ly "west" from you.

Thanks for the advises. Perhaps I will try to get a little further out. My jump range with full fuel is 47.56 LY in my Asp Explorer. After this, I will go to the Crab Nebula. Only 1800 LY from here.

:D "Only"? Kudos, Commander, you're definitely an explorer at heart!

Well, a real explorer would not ask this kind of questions. He or she will just go exploring... ;)

Anyways... I have reach the Crab Nebula:

I think it is Barnard's Loop in the distance.

Next stop is The Monkey Head Nebula. It is only 1100 LY from here.

1800LY is just a Sunday afternoon stroll.
Though now I've slowed right down, set for economical route plotting, and am just bumbling around the Neutron Star fields just seeing what there is to see.
NS systems are really interesting to me, especially with twin NS and ELWs in the same system. "Fascinating!" as Spock would say.

What's the sky look like out there?

Is it noticeably darker when facing one way compared to the other?

That's actually a good question. I did not look when I was at the edge.

Now I have reached The Monkey Head Nebula:

I just wanna go home now, but not the direct way. I'll visit Rosette Nebula, Seagull Nebula, Barnard's Loop and California Nebula on my way.
