APEX shuttle service footage from GamesRadar show

This is the bit I don't really understand.

I don't like the idea of insta-travel but if you're just sitting in a seat what are you actually going to do for the minutes it takes to get to your destination? Catch up with galnet articles? People complain about supercruise times as it is. So a non-interactive version of supercruise doesn't seem like such a great idea. There are ways you could jazz it up a bit but...

It's just a very weird problem from a gameplay point of view. Maybe insta-travel or very nearly insta-travel is actually the only way to do it ( and suffer the forum bloodbath that comes from it!).
Time wise I see it as a minor immersion effect of traveling in SC within system, after all it still is Elite (just pay attention to distances lol) and HS jumps are what 30s to hit SC? If you are the pilot then not as much boredom but pretty much the same really, just sitting there messing around.
It's the people that will play solely non-ship/pilot role that will have to make decisions on how to get to far away ports o call which is what I am curious about.
The FC module for feet dwellers is interesting or running shuttles but that would get dicey, especially with the slave trade mining boom 😏.

It wont be long. How long does it take to jump systems, 2 minutes? Not enough to worry about.
Two minutes is a long time to be not doing much (he says a year into lockdown during a global pandemic). I don’t know if there’s a way to do it that pleases everybody, so it might be better to err towards the solution that irritates people for a few seconds rather than a few minutes.

If Apex is faster than manual travel then folks will be pushed into interacting with the game less.

I think it's more for folks that wanted better SC assists or autodocks. Simply have a NPC fly you there.

...then call carrier there with all your fleet :D - complete automatic traveling.

I wonder if Apex huntng becomes a thing

Bonus points if you somehow can see a shuttle with CMDRs on board...
Block lists rulez :D
I wonder, will it work inside station? Because ... how can you see all those instanced ships flying around while you sit in bar.

I wonder how instancing works at all.
Is the interior a different instance? Will you see only the CMDRs who came by ship into your instance?
Really wondering.

And I wonder if you can headshot people in the starport :ROFLMAO:
Most likely will do as any other MMO do. For example SWTOR's instance can handle less then 300 people. So at best days you could see 20 instances in the same village and nobody around and full chat :D

Lots of people from the FPS community don’t want to fly, because the way Elite is teleporting should not be used regarding ship travel it’s enough we got it in multi crew, I don’t mind to be idle as long as my taxi transport me, it’s a part of the immersion.

Attacks on your way to the destination should entirely be possible, especially when you have an active dangerous mission. There should be a choice of taxi ships available. Hire something bigger but also more expensive when expecting trouble. If your taxi is capable of carrying fighters, you could help in the fight directly through that. At least get something that has some turrets or missile pods. so you can man that.
