Appalling jump range - Mandalay

So, I have engineered everything I have the lowest minimal modules, everything stripped down, 1d power distributor, 2D power plant, no shields, lightweight skin deep plating, Guardian 10 year jump fitted, Ever thing stripped down, all lightest, all highest grades, no weapons or anything else and I am showing 50 light year jump. Is this a bug?

Definitely sounds like a bug. Probably a silly question but have you got a good FSD A grade that's engineered and also any other armour or cargo? - can you take a screenshot of your jump range unladen and laden?

Frameshift Drive E5?
Grade A sco engineered

Grade A size 5 SCO not engineered. 52 to 58 light years showing. Armour is standard skin lightened to grade 5 with deep plating all superfluous slots are empty

Grade A size 5 SCO not engineered, can't see the point as jump ranges has not increased during existing engineering.

You didn't see the point of engineering the FSD because the range didn't increase as a result of engineering other modules?

Just for reference, with no engineering to the 5A SCO FSD, my Mandalay jumps 52Ly.
After engineering the FSD (G5 Increased Range & MM) it jumps 78Ly.

I am currently at the wrong computer for that, I will try when I get near it again.

I think you need to go see Felicity Farseer. She's a very nice engineer who will boost your FSD. Its a good adventure but you may want to go there Solo. You have to have the materials she requires so some research is needed. Good Luck and have fun

So it looks like 26 light year difference then, That would net me 78. I want the 91 that the YT guy got. I have an ASP that can jump 78 and an Anaconda that will beat 78

For clarification, what do you actually mean when you say you've "engineered" everything?

Are you talking about, say, removing E-rated modules and replacing them with the lightest (D-rated) ones possible, fitting a better fuel-scoop and reconfiguring interior modules etc?

Cos, that's not "engineering".
Engineering is taking a ship to one of the Engineers and having them tinker around with various modules to improve them in some way.

Not sure what you have on your ship for those figures but that increase would still leave me 13LYRS short

I am in the process of doing up my mandalay, made from bits and pieces off ships I don't use (i.e i would normally use more suitable parts). Before I upgraded the SCO drive I was getting 55ly, after engineering my sco drive from 1 - 4 (no experimental) it's now at 74ly.

Seems to be working as intended for me.

I stopped the engineering freight train as I ran out of time, only thing that not been to an engineer is the Grade A size 5 SCO drive, everything else is. PP 2 D overcharged max and stripped down. 4 D Dirty maxed stripped down............Engineering at its finest :)
