Patch Notes Update April Update - Patch Notes

"
A lot of us are experiencing this with the mouse, if you use keyboard controls it is faster (wasd works for me, for others the arrow keys). If you use a controller I understand it behaves as expected.
" sorry I borked the quoting, again

Nope, NOT as expected using a controller, or keyboard. It now take 45 seconds for 720t, up from around 6 or 7 seconds pre-patch
They removed the acceleration (1,2,3,4,10,20,50,100- style, if you see what I mean)

edit: and the mouse - well, as well as locking up occasionally with no way out of the menu, it takes far too long doing it click by click or held down - way to long to make me want to start timing it

As for the PVP community, and PH backpedalling. Lol. Nice zing, points for that. But very inaccurate. 1) because it works, I've done it. Nothing you say will convince me that I didn't do it already repeatedly, in actual PVP. Unless PD were nerfed in the last year or so, it's still possible. 2) as I said already, for me this has nothing to do with drag munitions itself. You guys are splashing around a pro-small-ship rock that has been in the same place for 3 years, long before this silly patch. Feel free to keep splashing. I'll still be in the same place long after this patch cycle has run its course.
All jokes aside, I'm calling malarkey until you start providing video evidence that you can pull this off reliably with Packhound spam from a wing, much less frag pellets. I did find a video of Hazzmango dunking on you and a friend (and a bunch of Fed's) all by his lonesome without too much difficulty, and although you seemed to be the only one actually using PH's, you weren't exactly doing what I would call "reliably avoiding all incoming fire" which by itself is no big deal as Mango dunks on LOTS of people who are not actually as good as they think they are, it does strongly suggest that a theory I'm formulating concerning your skill to words ratio is indeed proving to be accurate.
Not that I'm dissing you in any way, but since you've taken the stance so powerfully that the best of the best in the PvP world are a bunch of incompetent fools who don't know how to fly or outfit their ships, I think it's only fair if I approach our debate with full honesty. I'll just leave this here for anyone curious:
In the meantime, like I said before, Ziljan, fight these guys, show me something. And video of you being an active participant in wing combat where you are subjected to frag/seeker/PH spam and reliably avoided all incoming fire while still being a viable participant in the action. I see a demonstration or three of some of that action and I'll be happy to take back my words, publicly admit that I misjudged and go look for some different debate. In other words: prove it.

I normally use my mouse for menus (I fly with a hotas), and if I click & hold the + button it goes up at a constant rate of around 1 unit every half second or so. If I use 'D' on my keyboard it counts up much more quickly, but still at a constant rate. I haven't tried using a controller myself but in another thread someone said it was normal for them (using a hat).

I hope it gets fixed soon, I can't believe someone made this change on purpose.

WoW the new graphics are appealing, I really like this update, now I just have to find out the rest. Unfortunately some things I will be able to see and try them only when I return from Sagittarius A, now I am here Plaa Ain ST-I b42-0. Great job, good guys.

Yep....just dumped me straight into the game in OPEN. Rebooted the game and now fixed itself...it NOW has all the obviously NEEDFUL options.. go figure.. game just corrupted... now playing (thanks for you reply at least)... NOW what about the FPS!!!!!!.... I can't believe the FPS hit my top of line i7-9700K/RTX 2080 Ti PC rig is now suffering... with no graphical gain whatsoever! Oh boy... these bug releases get worse and worse.

Strange there was nothing about my game experience that made me check my FPS so I assume it was still in the 30-40 it usually runs at.

Shockingly Mango seems to use boost often to evade and get into good firing position in that vid. Who'da thunk it was important to be able to boost.

I wonder if he knows how interdictors work.
That and the fact that he didn't seem to have too much problem hitting Ziljan with PA's at nearly 2km, like at all. Now, a logical person might watch that and say, "Now Ziljan, buddy, if there were 2+ more ships on Mango's side instead of just him soloing you, your two friends and a bunch of fed's and they happened to be spamming seekers and packhounds at you, don't you think it might get through? I mean, I just watched you get literally ripped in half by frag's, so..."

Dunno, maybe that's just me.

You know what with every update since fdev have not first released it as a beta first have been full of bugs :(
The major one which has effected everyone tonight who I've encounted ingame (7 commanders) have confirmed major FPS issues. Its now unplayable on my laptop (1050ti) and my main rig is down 50% when encountering commanders/ stations or "a few NPC's"
I've been playing this game now since day one and I'm telling you guys (fdev) now alot of the hardcore player base has been moving onto other games due to old issues which show no signs of being addressed and adding to them is not helping.
If the fps is not fixed soon I will be joining them to be honest, a shame because being an original 1984 i love this game but not at any cost :(

I have a GTX 1080 Ti, and all on Ultra. My screen can only do 60 FPS, so I limit the game to 60 FPS. They were completely stable before patch - and are stable now after patch.
I read here 2 things:
1) Check the FX setting - this seems to affect only ship trails. Switch it to 'off' and try again.
2) The Cursor setting in the graphic options could be an issue. If you use any of the '3D compatible' options, it could be the problem. Use the system cursor (2D).

I have here FX settings on 'Ultra', and the 2D Cursor, which is default. Maybe this helps...

I think consoles are affected too. I feel a performance degradation on stations for xbox one x.

Edit: Even outside stations the game feels more sluggish now.
Do shadows look better? Maybe they finally fixed shadows and the sluggishness is all my fault! 😱

I ask because I haven't even bothered downloading the latest update.

The shadows are fantastic. All black and shadowy. The sound is good too. You are missing so much in your little submarine !
