I'm not talking about the game. I'm talking about people's reactions to people's reactions of the game. There seems to be an influx suddenly of threads about "quitting ED", "how fake ED is", "be back in a few months".

Its probably to be expected. People have returned for 3.0 and perhaps ED still isn't what they want so the influx to me doesn't spell doom. That being said, the threads aren't the usual "I can't fly an Anaconda after 2 hours gameplay" nonsense. They are lists of genuine concerns of paying customers. You don't have to agree with them, you don't have to read their threads but if you're gonna comment "don't let the door hit you", then reading it would be a courtesy.

My point is that these threads are turning into a swamp of non-sensical troll comments and people should be a touch ashamed. If you have credible feedback, positive or negative, then get involved but otherwise leave it to devs.

I have my own likes and dislikes of 3.0 which I've covered on other threads. I'm sure I'll shortly receive the same treatment but I tried.

The quitting posts, the this isnt playable posts, the posts complaining about the ppl quitting posts ALL happen everytime an update drops...

Weirdly ppl forget that happens EVERY TIME...

They are lists of genuine concerns of paying customers.

Most of them are complains about how harsh crime and punishment system is - because old one was so lax people didn't realize they break law all the time.

And fact they can't play Anaconda and they don't have to play game or enjoy not end game content they are for.

Very few good critical posts...and they mostly attract good discussion.

Its the same drama queens on a different day/ED version.

After 3+ years you just learn to expect it. And as reliable as the rising Sun, it all comes pouring down the dry creek beds like a flash flood after every update.

Just ignore the ones you are tired of seeing posted adnausem or, post some helpful advice for the terminally clueless. Its your choice!

I'm honestly getting irritated by the constant flow of crap cluttering up the New Posts listing. I mostly come to the forum for informational purposes, and I'm getting concerned that legitimately useful threads are getting buried by the constant complaining, the rebuttals to the complaining, and the complaining about the complaining.

It's funny because they apparently "haven't played for ages" and think that airing the fact they're not going to play again is something to talk about.

I mean I don't stop playing Battlefield for months and go back in thinking it's gonna be easy, I know I'm gonna get my butt handed to me and struggle until I get used to things again, but I also know the reason I enjoy BF is why I keep at it, and that's because I'm damn good and destroy people when my game is strong.

I wonder do these people air that they're going to the gym every single day also, do they tell people when they're going to the toilet, do they air that they're about to watch naughties, do they air that they've gotten chlamydia from one drunk night?

"Hey everyone, I haven't had sex in ages, and I just got laid and I didn't last long at all! Now I'm not going to have sex again until the issue is resolved!"

The game is NOT DEAD until the forums go quiet.

The fact that people are taking time to complain about stuff is because they still care about the game.

When no one TRULY cares there will be no more posts to this forum...

Edit: this one above me is such a classic example. Quoted my OP but clearly didn't read it. I never said the game was dead, I said people have legitimate complaints and shouldn't be trolled for sharing them. But I expected this, perhaps I'll get 1 rep for every 10 nonsense replies, I'll take that

You make an excellent point! And that situation is definitely happening. I've seen plenty of 3.0 relevant threads get booted off the front page because of "Drama Queen" threads dropping in every 5 minutes or less.

Believe me though... You are seeing the rantings of a tiny vocal minority. The majority of ED players are too busy enjoying the 3.0 update to spend any of their gaming time posting on here.

I’m posting cause I can’t play at the moment as I ordering breakfast at McDonalds.
But I’m currently enjoying what’s in Beyond. When I do get to log on and play,
My only gripe is that ED should revert back to when Signal sources were known and that we didn’t need to stop what we were doing to scan the signal source.

Well, my comment was born from the fact that when I'm looking over New Posts, I very rarely go past the second page when I'm trying to "get caught up" because that's usually all I have time for. I'd very nearly missed the thread about the new Eagle Eye Stations around the Pleiades. I still caught it, but only because it was the very last thing on the list. It's the very sort of thing I'm looking for most in the forums, and I'd have been annoyed having missed it. In any case, there was a Galnet article later about it, which made the potential situation irrelevant, but that's beside the point. The good stuff on the forum gets buried by the crap, unless it really catches peoples' attention and gets a good discussion going.
