Edit: this one above me is such a classic example. Quoted my OP but clearly didn't read it. I never said the game was dead, I said people have legitimate complaints and shouldn't be trolled for sharing them. But I expected this, perhaps I'll get 1 rep for every 10 nonsense replies, I'll take that

For starters, the forum of any game represents only a small fraction of the total player base. The vast majority of people never visits the forums (or fora, whichever you prefer) of the games they play.
That in itself means you'll never hear from people quitting, simply because you can't, as they aren't even active on the forum.
About the folks you're referring to who are active on the forum and claim to have quit.
Well, we really don't know if they actually have, do we ?
Yes, i'm sure there are those who have quit and just stick around to display their discontent.
I just dispute that their numbers are of any significant size whatsoever.

This game has sold what, 3mil+ units ?
Even if we assume that as many as 1mil are currently active players, it would leave 2mil+ people who have stopped playing ED.
And i for one don't recall to have seen the posts in which they announced that
They are the ones i meant with "they just stop and move on".

The forums are taxing at times, much more so than the game itself to me. I find the game easy and forgiving; actually, a bit too much so. I don't play it particularly for its difficulty though.
