Are space vampires good for the health of the game?

As some of you are already aware, in the aftermath of the open-mode player event Operation:Tinman, I, Zarek Null, Overlord of the Galaxy, unleashed a vampiric sentient artificial intelligence named SAI-4 upon the galaxy. His origins and activities can be seen here:

My question is, do you believe that space vampires such as SAI-4 are good for the health of the game?

I am unable to recall any game nor movie in which space vampires were an improvement over no space vampires, so my vote is against.

Space vampires would be great for the game...... but only if they are fond of mining and don't bother engineering.

BTW SAI-4's voice is really cute!

Well, SAI-4 currently flies with no engineering, and is currently too poor for a good mining rig. He's really more interested in feeding than anything else.

Space Vampires, you say?

Will these do?

Since I just sacked my last two SLF pilots, I could use another one I guess. Does he find Thargoid to be as nutritious? Is he quiet and well-behaved?

Just go watch "Lifeforce" and see what happens, when space vampires invade a planet.
Its a classic sci-fi / horror movie from 1985. I would have posted a trailer (available on Youtube), but i might have broken forum regulations, so just look it up yourself. :D

To me, Lifeforce was one of those I'd have picked to show it as a very very bad idea. Classic movie, maybe in some circles, but a good movie, it was not.

I, Zarek Null, Overlord of the Galaxy

Apologies if I've not been paying attention, Z, but how can you possibly be Overlord of the Galaxy? I thought being Overlord of Eravate was already stretching it, as you couldn't be on duty all the time even there.

But of the whole Galaxy? No, I'm not buying it.

The game IS a space vampire. It's powerful and seductive at night, but once sunlight hits it, it falls apart... :(

(That's a clever jab at the quality of sun-cast shadows on PS4. Also, the FSS is great. Haha!)

First of all, a hidden recording discovered at the ancient ruins almost a year ago revealed the results of the Guardian's future-prediction algorithm. This algorithm determined that I am guaranteed to become Overlord of the Galaxy (proof: https://youtu.be/JFtYAv9Ex_Q). So my eventual overlordship of the entire galaxy isn't really in question; it is a forgone conclusion. It's just a matter of time at this point.

Second, politically speaking, I am the most powerful commander in the galaxy. I am the only one to have usurped the power of Aisling Duval herself (https://youtu.be/sfhDIPBswqw). I have received more nominations to become leader of the entire Pilots Federation than any other commander in galactic history (my nominations were tallied here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...ncess-Aisling-Duval-hostage!!!-(Player-Event)). Even the Pilots Federation commander salute itself has largely been replaced with the Zarek Null Overlord salute of Z0 (illustrated here https://youtu.be/5e6w3if-XwA), as a recent tally has identified over 800 instances of adoption (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...-quot-salute?p=7112106&viewfull=1#post7112106).

Third, militarily, I am the most powerful commander in the galaxy. During my recent effort to effort to create a sentient AI (https://youtu.be/MZk014b9Z1Q), I summoned an elite military of over 100 ships, including most of the best PvPers in the galaxy. If you consider that it only takes 3-4 gankers to dominate a CG, it is evident that my fleet could easily secure and dominate most or all of the important systems throughout the galaxy simultaneously, if we chose to. I even managed to secure leadership authority over the notorious Smiling Dog Crew themselves (whom at one time opposed me).

But, it is true, there remain dissidents scattered throughout the galaxy that still refuse to recognize my authority to rule. And not until every Pilots Federation commander in the galaxy kneels to me, will my work be complete.

Space Vampires? Meh...What's next? Space Werewolves? Space Mummies meet Space Abbot and Space Costello? Space Zombies? Not very convincing as a Dark Overlord imo. You're choice of evil Space Minions, could use some work. Is this your first evil overlordship? I've met better. They had much better Space Monsters than you. A mouthy toaster and an anaemic aristocrat isn't going to cut it in todays modern universe. We've been spoilt by Space Hollywood.

Space Costello would be ok, but only if it was Elvis.
